I'm working on a small personal project: a set of plain English study documents introducing Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim to people who have recently embraced Islam. The goal is a printable, self-paced reference nothing published commercially, no app or hosted site involved.
What I need: a single snapshot of the English translations from those two collections. If a downloadable/offline dump exists, that would actually be my preference over API access, since I only need the data once.
Expected usage if pulling via API:
Rate: no more than 1 request/second
Volume: roughly 100 requests total, spread over a single build session
No recurring or live traffic afterward — the documents are generated once and that's it
Language: English/Arabic
Tooling: a short Python script to transform the snapshot into formatted reading documents.
