Your purpose in using this API:
AHLY KALMA is a mobile/web app (iOS, Android, responsive Web) with a locked no-monetization policy: no ads, no paid features, no sponsorships. We wish to include the following collections with Arabic text, English translations, numbering and gradings where available: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Jami at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasa'i, Sunan Ibn Majah, Muwatta Malik, Riyad as-Salihin, and Shama'il Muhammadiyah. We will display attribution to sunnah.com.
Written-permission request: Could you please also confirm in this thread the terms under which sunnah.com data may be used and attributed in our app? We will not ingest any data until we receive your written confirmation, and we will comply with any conditions you state.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 2 (development only; production use would rely on the offline dump)
Maximum requests per day: 5,000
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
An offline dump is preferred (for verified, versioned ingestion with religious-review controls). API access would be helpful for development/verification.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Arabic and English (Urdu as well, if available).
What programming language will your API client be in?
TypeScript (Node.js).
