Taskbar buggy on Windows 11 24H2

• I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
• I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
• I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro Windows Versions

Windows 11, 24H2, 26100.4351, x64

3rd party tweak software installed

Windhawk (I don't have taskbar related mods btw)

Describe the bug

1. Click either the start menu or a pinned program in the taskbar.

Expected outcome

The actions should work normally as it should.

Actual outcome

The icons are stuck, forcing me to double click them to open. When clicked once, it gets stuck like if I was "holding" the button while I'm not holding the mouse.

This issue is still occurring on my PC, which has the latest Windows 11 24H2 September 2025 Update (26100.6584).

OK, so because i don't have this problem try to disable Windhawk mods (disable mod A, restart file explorer observe changes and repeat the process, until all of the mods have been tested)

I also encountered a similar issue, using the latest Windows 11 24H2 system and not installing Windhawk. I checked the issue list and found that issue #4073 seems to solve my problem, and I have tried it, feeling some improvement.

This made the issue fixed, I didn't even bother to update my Windows 11 system since I have a custom Windows 11 version (WinterOS) instead of the MS one with bloat and etc.
