Using the underscore function may also add clarity when the fragments of a compound name are explicitly localized. A Cyrillic (Bulgarian) example:

There is only one example in the specification that shows a non-English example for intent. More non-English examples in other languages should be added. These examples should be paired with an explanation of how the intent and xml:lang attributes interact.

@jsahleen we discussed this, we don't really want to add more examples (mathml4 has a lot fewer examples than mathml3, as we decided they disrupted the flow too much) however the point of the issue is accepted and we plan to replace some of the English examples by ones using other languages, along with some suitable explanatory text. Details to be determined....
