CPod is the ONLY app that will download all my podcasts in one place. With the monetization of podcasts I couldn't all of a sudden get some podcasts on iTunes. Then I couldn't get others on Clementine. Still others wouldn't d/l on MusicBee, etc., etc. I was needing 3 different applications to get a dozen podcasts. Even though unmaintained, CPod is the best option.
Please update CPod. I'll buy you a pot of coffee.

I strongly discourage continuing to use CPod, for the reasons stated in the issue description. The way CPod is architected makes it very difficult to ensure it is secure (Electron etc.). With the last couple of updates (from about a year ago) I attempted to fix a couple of vulnerabilities that had been brought to my attention, but it is possible that still more exist. On top of that, CPod is using dependencies that are years out of date. It's also difficult to maintain, having no automated tests and being developed without any kind of UI framework.

I appreciate the sentiment but it is extremely unlikely that I will ever return to maintaining CPod. I rarely listen to podcasts anymore and when I do it's on my phone. #261 contains discussion about potential alternatives (though I cannot actually endorse any of them).
