👋 Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a 👀 emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! 💡 What: Added
role="button"andaria-haspopup="dialog"to thea#sitrep-btnmodal triggers across HTML pages, and implemented spacebar keydown handling inmodal.jswithe.preventDefault().🎯 Why: Using anchor tags as buttons without proper ARIA roles misleads screen readers. Additionally, native anchor tags do not respond to the 'Space' key, which is expected behavior for buttons. Pressing 'Space' would scroll the page.
📸 Before/After: N/A (Non-visual behavior/accessibility change). Tested using playwright script verifying 'Space' triggers the modal.
♿ Accessibility: Ensures screen readers announce the element as a dialog-triggering button and allows keyboard-only users to activate the modal using standard button interaction (Spacebar).
