Addressed Issues

Closes #398

Description

Fixed the Governance page's Issue Resolution Rate calculation, which previously counted pull requests as issues.

Changes made:

  • Excluded pull requests using the pull_request property returned by the GitHub API.
  • Scoped issue filtering by both repository name and organization.
  • Added a regression test to verify that pull requests do not affect the resolution rate.

Screenshots/Recordings

Not included. The fix affects the underlying calculation rather than the UI layout.

Example:

  • 1 closed issue
  • 1 open issue
  • 2 closed pull requests

Before fix: 75%

After fix: 50%

Additional Notes

  • Added a regression test in GovernancePage.test.jsx using Vitest and React Testing Library.
  • Verified the production build with npm run build.
  • All 82 tests passed across 9 test files.
  • PR fix: keep repository metrics scoped to their organization #304 also modifies repository scoping in GovernancePage.jsx. This PR includes organization-aware filtering, so there may be some overlap.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Issue resolution rates now count only non-pull-request issues from the matching repository and organization. This prevents similarly named repositories in other organizations from affecting the displayed rate.
  • Tests
    • Added coverage confirming the displayed rate excludes closed pull requests and issues from other organizations.

Walkthrough

The Governance issue resolution rate now counts non-pull-request issues that match both the repository name and organization. A test checks that pull requests and an issue from another organization do not affect the displayed rate.

Explanation

Issue #398 requires the Issue Resolution Rate to count issues only. Pull requests must not change the closed and total counts. The whole-PR diff (merge base to head) changes the per-repository filter in src/pages/GovernancePage.jsx. The filter now keeps an item only when i.repoName === r.name, i.orgName === r.orgLogin, and !i.pull_request. The allIssues memo tags each item with repoName and orgName from the issuesData key (org/repo), so the fields exist. The rate is computed from the filtered list, as the issue requests. The added test in src/pages/GovernancePage.test.jsx mocks two closed pull requests and one closed issue from another organization, with one closed and one open issue in the target repository. It asserts that 50% is displayed and 75% is not. The expected value 50% matches only the issue-only, same-organization calculation. The incremental diff from the previous reviewed head could not be read, so the verdict rests on the whole-PR diff at head. No coding requirement of #398 remains unmet.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

All changes connect to #398. The pull request filter implements the requested fix. The organization match is in the same filter expression. It prevents a same-named repository in another organization from adding its issues to the rate. The issue states that organization scoping from #302/PR #304 is separate work. This change adds only the organization condition needed for the rate calculation. It does not change other tabs or the broader repository scoping in PR #304. The test file is new and covers only the rate calculation. The whole-PR diff shows no unrelated file or hunk.

A rabbit checks the issue count,
And keeps the pull requests out.
By repo name and org in view,
The rate now shows the matching few.
A fifty-percent result appears,
With tests to check the case is clear.

Addressed in commit 6ea607c.

Added a second organization with a repository sharing the same name to verify organization-specific issue filtering.

I also verified the regression test by temporarily removing the organization filter. The test failed as expected (67% instead of 50%) and passed with the correct filter restored.

Thanks for the review!
