Safety-side tooling for battery research:
- SHOCK Kit — Raspberry Pi + thermocouple array for real-time internal temperature monitoring of cells under test; signal acquisition, logging, and threshold alarms. (Hardware designs and firmware live in a private repo until validated; integration layer publishes here.)
- Safety protocols — machine-readable experiment safety checklists for Li-metal / Li-S cell assembly, cycling-station limits, and thermal-event response.
Anode-free and Li-metal cells fail hot and fast. Watching cell skin temperature on a multimeter is not a protocol — instrumented, logged, alarm-capable monitoring is.
