Summary

Adds a Jira Cloud integration for Commit+ Pro users: a Jira item in the sidebar Workspace section that lists the issues assigned to the user, and starts a branch from an issue.

  • Connection (Settings → Integrations, top section): site + Atlassian account email + API token, verified against Jira before anything is saved. The token is stored only in this Mac's Keychain, scoped to the signed-in Commit+ account. It is never synced and never sent to Commit+ services. Scoped API tokens are routed through api.atlassian.com automatically.
  • Issue list: flat list (no board) of the user's own issues. The default filter shows not-done issues in open sprints. Filters cover sprint, status, project, and type, plus search by key or summary, and are remembered per repository. Pages load as you scroll; empty, error, rate-limit, and reconnect states are handled.
  • Details panel: single-clicking an issue opens a right-hand panel with its basic fields and the actions Create Branch, Open in Jira, Copy Key, and Copy Key and Summary.
  • Create branch: prefills PROJ-123-short-summary. With Git Flow, the issue type picks the default (Bug/Defect → Start Bugfix, otherwise Start Feature), and Feature, Bugfix, Hotfix, and a plain branch are all offered. Uses the existing branch and Git Flow sheets, so undo and refresh behave as before. Nothing is written to Jira.
  • Gating: new Pro-only plan feature jiraIssues (bundled policy revision 8). Free and signed-out users get the existing upgrade/sign-in view, and no Jira request is made.
  • Settings sync: new showWorkspaceJira toggle in "Customize Workspace", encoded in CloudSettingsDocument.

Spec, design, and tasks: openspec/changes/add-jira-sprint-issues/.

Rollout (blocking before release)

The matching backend changes are in ../landing-page; they are local there and not committed yet.

  1. Deploy Firestore rules before shipping this app version. validAppSettings must accept showWorkspaceJira, otherwise production rejects every settings write from this version. Rules only: firebase deploy --only firestore:rules --project macgit.
  2. Publish feature policy revision 8 with jiraIssues: proOnly (scripts/firebase/set-feature-policy.mjs release). Not strictly blocking, because the bundled fallback is also Pro-only.

Neither step has been deployed yet.

Validation

  • xcodebuild … test with 14 test classes, including the new Jira*Tests and updated feature-policy, settings, sidebar, and branch-sheet tests: 140 passed, 0 failed.
  • landing-page admin: typecheck, lint, test (32/32) pass. Firestore emulator rules tests were not run, per repository policy.
  • git diff --check clean.

Not yet verified

  • End-to-end against a real Jira Cloud site with a Pro account: connect/reconnect/remove, filters, load-more, branch creation plus undo (task 8.2).
  • Layout of the issue screen and Integrations section was adjusted from screenshots during review; a final pass at narrow and wide window sizes is still due.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Connect or reconnect a Jira Cloud account in Integrations and browse your assigned issues from the workspace sidebar.
    • Search and filter issues by sprint, status, project, and issue type. View issue details, open them in Jira, or copy their keys and summaries.
    • Create a branch from an issue with a suggested, editable name, including Git Flow options.
    • Control Jira’s visibility in the workspace sidebar; this preference is saved with your settings.
  • Availability
    • Jira Issues requires an active Pro plan.

Connect a Jira Cloud site with an Atlassian API token in Settings →
Integrations; the token stays in this Mac's Keychain and is never synced.
A new Jira item in the sidebar Workspace section lists the user's
assigned issues as a flat, filterable list with a details panel, and can
start a branch or the matching Git Flow topic from an issue.

The screen is gated by the new Pro-only `jiraIssues` plan feature, and the
`showWorkspaceJira` toggle is added to synced settings.

Purge Jira tokens and metadata when a Commit+ account is deleted.

The Keychain token and the jiraConnections row are keyed by macgitUID. AccountSessionController.deleteAccount() does not remove them. After account deletion, the API token stays in the Keychain with no owner and no UI path to remove it.

Add a purge method on JiraConnectionController that deletes the token and metadata for a given uid. Call it when account deletion succeeds. Do not call it on sign-out. The spec requires the connection to survive sign-out for the same account.

Based on learnings: "When deleting a parent entity (e.g., a profile/account) that has associated secrets stored in an OS keyring or secret store, the deletion routine must also explicitly purge all related secrets".

35-35: 🧹 Nitpick | Trivial

Deploy the Firestore rules for showWorkspaceJira before the app release.

CloudSettingsDocument.encode now writes showWorkspaceJira into the settings document. The PR description states that the validAppSettings rules change is not deployed. If this app version ships first, production rejects every synced settings write from it. Treat the rules deployment (task 9.3) as a hard release gate. Verify that the deployed allowlist and the is bool check accept the new key.

Based on learnings: "when CloudSettingsDocument.encode adds a field, verify that the deployed validAppSettings allowlist and type checks accept it."

Make deployment of the Firestore rules a hard release gate for the
`CloudSettingsDocument.encode` change: verify the deployed `validAppSettings`
allowlist includes `showWorkspaceJira` and its type check accepts booleans
before releasing the app.

- Around line 89-95: Update the `connectionObservation` in
`JiraIssueListController` to observe both the connection ID and
`needsReconnect`, so clearing `needsReconnect` after reconnect triggers
`connectionDidChange()`. Ignore transitions where `needsReconnect` becomes true,
since `handle(_:)` already handles that state; use an equatable state
representation to deduplicate changes.

response explicitly contains `true`; when the field is missing or false,
preserve the `nextPageToken` in the existing pagination logic.
