Back in the '90s, 88x31px buttons were all the rage. Every good Geocities site was adorned with them. With time their popularity has wained, but they're still around and are very much embraced by independent personal sites.

Place the button image on your site. In your CSS, make sure to apply image-rendering: pixelated; to avoid browsers blurring the low-resolution images.
