Setting Up a Tracker
Tracking the locations you have checked is a great way to make the randomizer more fun and manageable. Below are a couple of options we recommend.
PopTracker is compatible with the Z2R package originally built for EmoTracker. More importantly, it loads the map tracker faster than EmoTracker. Currently, it does not load the variant without the map tracker (if you want to use that variant, see EmoTracker below).
Download PopTracker from the official releases page and unzip/install it: ➡️ PopTracker on GitHub
Download the tracker pack by Dudude Dude: ➡️ Z2R Tracker Pack
The easiest way:
- Start PopTracker and drag & drop the downloaded tracker pack (
.zipfile) directly into the PopTracker window (do not unpack it).
Alternative method (if drag & drop doesn’t work):
-
Copy or unpack the
.zipfile into one of these folders:-
EXEDIR/packs(not on macOS) HOME/PopTracker/packsDocuments/PopTracker/packsCWD/packs
-
- With PopTracker open, click the Load button in the top left corner.
- Choose Z2R Tracker.
- Select the Preliminary 4.4 Randomizer Support with Mapping variant for map tracking.
EmoTracker is another great tracker. However, note that it is slow to load if you are using the variant with a map tracker.
Download and install EmoTracker from the official site: ➡️ EmoTracker
- Open EmoTracker.
- Open the Package Manager by clicking the Package Manager button to the right of the window title.
- Locate and install Z2R Tracker by Dudude Dude.
- Choose “Preliminary 4.4 Randomizer Support” (no mapping).
If you get a hint for an item being in a palace, you can mark which item it is by right-clicking that palace item location - it will show as a P-bag at first - then right-click on the appropriate item and the P-bag icon will change to that item.
