Why?
.NET11.0+'s windows installer (
dotnet-install.ps1) prefers.tar.gz. But the powershell tar.exe fails to extract due to:tar.exe : ./: Cannot extract through symlink \\\\?\\C:\\...: too many symbolic link levelsVerification
