Day 31 morning run of the content engine: the 28 Oct daily brief and two new versus pages. Each one pairs an explainer that gets many impressions and few clicks with the comparison its searchers ask for.

What changed

  • New: agent-tools-today-2026-10-28 (daily brief, 1,192 words). Launches: OpenCode 2.2.0, Entire, Survival LLM. Skills: Hallmark, AI Design Skills, mcp-video-editor. Moves: Claude Code v2.1.312, Codex 0.165.0, OpenClaw 2026.10.8. Rising: Soulgent, OpenBot, agent-purge. Arguments: three Hacker News threads. Every item links its source, and points and stars were checked against the APIs on 28 Oct. One cabinet scene; it reuses the series hero.
  • New: chatgpt-dots-vs-claude-cowork (BACKLOG b073, 1,186 words). Plans, prices, where each runs and safety, with a dated table and a pick list. Title card plus 3 scenes (bookmark, lunchbox, keys), one tap interaction each. Demand: Search Console shows "chatgpt dots" at about 3,700 impressions a month on what-is-chatgpt-dots, at under 1% clicks.
  • New: codex-vs-chatgpt (BACKLOG b074, 1,161 words). What each is, which plans include Codex, where each runs and when to use which. Title card plus 3 scenes (toolbox, ladder, tram). Demand: "what is codex" at about 3,800 impressions a month on what-is-codex, at 0.13% clicks.
  • Backlinks: one short line in claude-cowork-vs-claude-code and one in what-is-codex.
  • media.json: three entries, inserted after codex-computer-use, away from seo-engine: day 30 AM, brief 27 Oct and Claude Cowork alternatives #795's and seo-engine: day 30 PM, Pi vs Claude Code plus two fact refreshes #797's entries.
  • docs/ rebuilt.

Checks

  • gate.mjs: PASS on all five changed posts (the two older posts were run with --no-media --no-motion --no-backlink).
  • One independent fact review: PASS on the brief and the backlinks, FAIL on 6 lines (Dots vs Cowork) and 6 (Codex vs ChatGPT). All fixed with the reviewer's wording. The main fixes: plain Business does not include dots; the dots rollout qualifier; the Cowork browser quote now credits the right Anthropic page; the Free and Go rollout qualifier for Codex; a caption that priced dots instead of ChatGPT Pro. The OpenCode release link now points at the repo's new home.
  • npm run build clean (426 files).
  • OpenSEO credits used: 0.

The three new pages show a 404 in the before shots because they do not exist on main yet.

Open engine PRs: #795 (day 30 AM), #797 (day 30 PM) and this one. All three rebuild docs/, so the ones merged later may need a rebase. I will rebase them as they come up. The founder merges.
