Adopt the durability-based split for internal state (keep a thin TRACKED
planning surface as a transparency virtue; keep noisy churn local):
- NEW tracked: ROADMAP.md + STATE.md (curated, cross-device continuity surface)
- Untrack 641 churn files: .planning/, .gpd/, .claude/agents/ (generic
framework defs), .gardener-notes.md, one internal meeting note
- Keep: CLAUDE.md, .claude/skills/ (8 bespoke), .claude/rules/ (2), and the
load-bearing scientific docs (H0_BIAS_RESOLUTION.md, derivations, limitations)
Docs honesty: AI-assisted/author-owned framing in CLAUDE.md + README; citation
'in preparation'; corrected pre-commit description (ruff+ruff-format+mypy, no pytest).
Files remain on disk; history is untouched (--cached only). A full history scrub
of the previously-committed planning tree is a separate, optional step.
