LogDoc — logdoc.org

Official website of LogDoc, an open-source log management system for collecting, routing, and analyzing logs with a powerful and flexible logging infrastructure.

Live at logdoc.org — hosted on GitHub Pages.

About LogDoc

LogDoc is a professional log management platform built around four core stages of the pipeline:

  • gather — collect logs from multiple sources: application SDKs (Java, Python, Go, Node.js), system sources (Syslog RFC 5424, systemd journald), and native LogDoc protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP REST API)
  • pipe — route and transform log streams between sources and destinations with powerful filters (grok parsing, GeoIP enrichment, and more)
  • sink — output logs to any destination: ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, S3-compatible object storage, files, and external services
  • view — real-time log viewing and search with powerful query capabilities

Plus a rich plugin ecosystem (sources, sinks, filters, notifications — Kafka, Docker, Telegram, Slack, Prometheus and more via the Plugin SDK) and fine-grained access control with role-based permissions.

Key numbers: 10M+ logs/sec per node, 48 plugins, Apache 2.0 license, under 5 minutes to first log.

Site structure

Legal privacy.html, terms.html

Tech stack

  • Pure HTML + CSS — no frameworks, no build tools, no dependencies
  • css/style.css — single stylesheet, dark theme with design tokens (accent #e35b28), fixed 1440px layout, Inter / JetBrains Mono / IBM Plex Mono typography
  • js/site.js — ~3 KB of vanilla JavaScript powering the interactive layer:
    • scroll-reveal animations (IntersectionObserver, staggered cards)
    • live terminal tail on the landing hero with real timestamps
    • count-up hero stats
    • copy-to-clipboard for the install command and all doc code blocks
    • plugin catalog category filters
  • CSS-only animations: terminal boot sequence, integrations marquee, ambient hero glow, hover lifts, badge pulse
  • prefers-reduced-motion fully respected — all motion is disabled, content stays visible
  • Graceful degradation — the site is fully usable with JavaScript disabled

Local development

No tooling required. Serve the directory with any static server:

python3 -m http.server 8741
# open http://localhost:8741

Deployment

Deployed via GitHub Pages from the main branch (root).

  • CNAME — custom domain logdoc.org
  • .nojekyll — disables Jekyll processing
  • DNS: apex A records → GitHub Pages IPs (185.199.108–111.153), www CNAME → logdoc-org.github.io

Push to main and GitHub Pages redeploys automatically.
