A small macOS menu bar app that lets you use and remap the Razer Basilisk V2’s thumb clutch and wheel-tilt controls.
- Install Apple’s Xcode Command Line Tools via terminal
xcode-select --installor download it from the App Store. - Download or clone this repository.
- In the repository folder, run
zsh build.sh. - Copy the app file from
dist/Basilisk Bridge.appto your application folder. - Start the app. macOS may show a security warning because the app is not notarized.
- Grant Accessibility and Input Monitoring in macOS System Settings, then restart the app.
- With both permissions granted and the mouse connected, the bridge starts automatically.
- Choose Detection only to send mouse buttons 6–8 to other apps, or Detection & mapping to choose actions and shortcuts here.
- Restore settings returns the mouse and its device-specific key mapping to their saved state if recovery is needed.
Repeat step 2 to 5 from the install guide above. A new build may require resetting the macOS permissions.
The bridge temporarily assigns three onboard signals and filters those signals for the Basilisk’s keyboard service, then emits standard mouse-button events or the selected mappings. It uses nonexclusive HID monitoring and requires Accessibility and Input Monitoring. The app has no network access or telemetry. It keeps only the recovery data needed to restore temporary changes; it does not keep an activity log.
