Rust Load/Store can now use an explicit
TempStoragedescriptor to control capacity, alignment, shared or exclusive allocation, and automatic synchronization. Calls and helpers can borrow the descriptor to reuse a planned region. Typed reservations expose raw pointers with explicit reservation-token release; callers retain initialization, bounds and synchronization obligations. Scratch-free Direct operations require no scratch allocation or reuse barrier.Depends on the exact shape-support stage
aa2d5fc9, now owned by #12101, and the migrated compiler in cuda-rust #1589. Review the TempStorage changes only (11 files). GitHub's main-based diff includes prerequisites; the linked comparison is this PR's scope. This storage branch uses that retained internal stage, before the Striped addition in the consolidated owner. The example pins the matching compiler revision.Validation: 29 affected host tests plus strict lints and documentation, 42 public and 12 raw-wrapper compiler cases, ordinary standalone Cargo builds, and inspection of native ABI, planned layouts and generated memory/barrier instructions. All eight original GPU invocations pass: 72 storage cases, 1,093 Direct and 1,305 Transpose cases, the standalone example, and four sanitizer runs covering memcheck, racecheck and synccheck. Rust host CI and all three upstream checks pass on this head.
