Superseded by #12117, which now owns this implementation within its complete feature family. The original commits, branch and validation evidence remain available. This draft is closed unmerged.

Historical scope and validation below refer to the original source heads.

group_by_non_exhaustive::<N>() now carries recognized prefix membership through generic helpers for Warp widths 17–31. It preserves the existing low-lane membership result while letting the compiler prove participation in checked collectives. This step changes only three lines in group.rs; the public Reduce API follows separately.

This draft follows #12117 and uses Oxide #1593. Its immutable owning diff isolates those three lines; the PR against main includes its prerequisites.

Validation with the pinned compiler passes formatting, 49 host tests/doctests, strict Clippy and rustdoc, and all 172 existing compiler controls (75 accepts, 97 rejects). Both original release consumers build with line information. Artifact inspection accounts for their typed ABI, launch facts, scratch layout and executable call targets. GPU checks pass all five private prefix cases (2,560 observations), the public Scan example (1,906 prefixes), and prefix memcheck, racecheck and synccheck.

Host CI passes on this commit. No timing or historical code-equality claim is made.

Create a host-only Cargo workspace that specializes selected CUB forms
through NVRTC and reports exact scratch layouts with their LTO output.
Bind specialization identities to source, headers and toolkit bytes.
Include a runnable provider example, Rust guide and CPU checks.

Serve native specialization batches through the versioned Oxide boundary
and exercise Load and Store through a standalone Cargo consumer with a
generic helper dependency.

Reuse the same helper sites with 64- and 128-thread kernels and retain

one device static across their emitted bodies. Check each launch plan

and preserve fixed external-symbol diagnostics.

Select fixture output locations from raw CUDA coordinates and exercise
payload initialization, access and copying at both item counts. Annotate
compile-fail examples and clarify hierarchy ordering in the guide.
