Multisite

On a multisite network with OWA 2.x, Network Admin > OWA sets one OWA Endpoint and Application Password for every site. Leave either empty to set up each site on its own.

Use a read-only password of an OWA user limited to the network's Properties: site admins can list every Observation Profile that user can see.

Opening the page fetches the Observation Profiles from OWA. Observation Profiles and sites that are new since the last save are marked until you save.

The Sites table appears once OWA has listed the Observation Profiles for the network's endpoint and password. Saving a new endpoint or password fetches them again. If OWA cannot be reached later, the table shows the Observation Profiles last fetched.

Two modes

Sites choose (default). Each site picks its Observation Profile under OWA > Settings, from those that share its domain (example.com, www.example.com and blog.example.com share one).

Network configures each site's Observation Profile. The network page lists every site. Site admins see their Observation Profile read-only.

Network Admin > OWA

  • Each site starts on the Observation Profile whose domain is exactly the site's domain.
  • Edit changes a site's Observation Profile. A site without one shows Select Profile….
  • Once a site's Observation Profile is saved, its Tracking switch turns tracking on or off. The site's own Enable OWA is hidden. New sites start on.
