howdy there, this is my website’s source code! mostly hand-written by me, with the exception of external libraries and images, of course. i don't think there's much to study here that you can't learn about elsewhere, although you're welcome to take a gander through!
disclaimer, if for some reason you haven't seen the site and have ended up here first, heed this advice: take care to have javascript enabled on your browser. if you don't know what that means, you can safely ignore this entire warning.
oh, and be sure to let me know if there are any bugs on your end! this site was developed on my ipad with only webkit-based browsers available to me, so there may be unexpected issues on other browser's rendering engines.
this site was made possible by the following tools, standards, and so and such:
- cables— used for certain animations and interactions
- the Lottie standard— used for certain animations and icons
- the Vollkorn font— designed by Friedrich Althausen
- designed in the Affinity suite and Figma
- mdn— a lifesaver when it comes to navigating the mess of web development specs and standards
- the Chivo Mono font
the site written by me (the HTML, CSS, JSON, and a lot of the javascript code) is licensed under MIT, so you're free to download and use the code however you like, if you would like to (this excludes the pieces featured on the portfolio page). however, some icons— the social media icons in particular— are copyrighted material held by their respective owners. the icons i drew1, however, are freely licensed under CC-BY-SA, so you are free to download and use them however you please, if you choose to do so.
