Summary

Fixes several issues in the VS Code extension and ships useful skills/tools with the install.

Activation / settings

• spockify.settings.open is registered at the start of activate() via a mutable handler, so the gear and command palette entry exist even if later setup fails.
• The real settings panel is wired once auth and transport deps are ready.

Model list

• Sidebar chat prefers the live server model list instead of always merging the hard-coded catalog (which filtered to old coding pins).
• listModels has an 8s timeout so chat cannot spin forever on a dead transport.
• Models refresh on sign-in and on baseUrl / model-filter changes.
• Spockify: List Models reports a clear error when not connected and retries without the OSS filter if the first list is empty.

Skills and tools

• Ships 8 bundled skills (debug, review, refactor, test, explain, commit, security, docs) that are seeded into .spockify/skills on activation without overwriting existing files.
• Adds tools: git_status, open_file, workspace_info, search_symbols.

Test plan

• Install the extension, reload, and confirm Spockify: Settings opens
• Sign in against a local stack and confirm the sidebar model list matches Settings (not the hard-coded catalog)
• Confirm chat becomes ready even if the server is unreachable (fallback, not infinite load)
• Open a workspace and confirm .spockify/skills contains the 8 seeded skills
• Ask the agent to list_skills and activate one
• Exercise git_status, open_file, workspace_info, and search_symbols
