Face mask detection is a computer vision task aimed at identifying whether a person is wearing a face mask correctly, wearing it incorrectly, or not wearing one at all. This task became particularly important during the COVID-19 pandemic for enforcing mask-wearing policies in public spaces to help limit virus transmission.
