What this brings together

StepForge’s Windows distribution, agent editing and cross-computer settings need to work together before release. This PR combines the five reviewed feature PRs, their follow-up fixes and the conflict resolutions verified in the integration checkout.

The original PR heads are included as ancestors; their commits and histories are preserved. #186’s dependency on #179 is included. This PR targets main and provides one place to validate the combined result.

Integration details

• Keep the synced-folder warning alongside translated storage controls and the home-folder documentation.
• Use the accurate agent-permissions and snapshot-scope notice, with matching translations.
• Preserve baseline-aware guide and step saves when combining agent editing with the translated editor.
• Apply synced language changes through the language handler after saving open edits, and re-register incoming recording shortcuts immediately.

Validation

• npm test: 1,112 passed, 20 skipped, zero failures across all five combined branches.
• All five new shortcut-sync regressions fail against the previous implementation and pass with the change.
• Translation checks: all 737 active messages are translated in each of the five non-English catalogs.
• Repository structure and git diff --check pass.

Before release

• Smoke-test the Windows package: install/upgrade, existing-library migration, recording, export and the agent execution alias.
• Exercise sync between two real computers/accounts, including conflicting settings, branding assets and shortcuts.
• Exercise a real agent and snapshot/Trash recovery.
• Check translated layouts and Chinese/Japanese fonts in the running app.
• For Store publication, reserve the app, fill packaging/windows/store/identity.json and complete the first Partner Center submission. The release workflow intentionally skips the Store package while the identity is blank.

Known behavior: agent Trash is local-only; snapshots retain the newest 50 agent checkpoints for their documented operations. Trashing a guide recovers saved content, not unsaved editor text. Some interface areas remain English and translations are Beta.
