Weekly meeting to discuss all things Flagon. Fridays 4-4:30pm EST
https://zoom.us/j/96369154436?pwd=3YTLYlXplXV73LP990myOUPNDbjVtm.1
passcode: flagon
- Drafted Apache quarterly report.
- https://flagon.apache.org/ is bricked and needs immediate attention.
- Closed stale issues.
- The site build process has been streamlined. A major improvement to the site would be to host reference docs for all versions of published packages. What is the best way to achieve this?
- Site build action needs fixed. Try using checkout action instead of git checkout.
- Closed and reassigned some issues
- Userale test action is fixed.
- Relevant issues from distill are moved, but not userale. Still a need for better organization of issues.
- Distill and Userale now live in this repo, and have working ci test actions. Although, the Userale test is failing, and was failing before the migration.
- We need to discuss go as a dev dependency in Userale.
- We need to move relevant issues from archived repos to this one, and ideally organize issues with GitHub projects and milestones
- Highest priority is fixing GitHub actions. Testing actions for both user ale and distill as a first priority. Then shared actions for checking license, bumping versions, and other release related tasks. Also need to setup action to handle website deployment (https://github.com/apache/mahout/blob/main/.github/workflows/website.yml)
- As the release actions are fixed, update the release wiki page. Similarly update site readme as website update process changes.
- Would be nice to have docs automatically generated from source and updated on the website.
- Need to fix doap file. It doesn't look like it was ever working https://projects.apache.org/project.html?flagon
- Logos dir is seemingly unneeded.
- Voting thread: https://lists.apache.org/thread/95lvhm832o4pzoy1xxbpgtd8rfjoxg76.
- We need issues that are good for new contributors, but this won't be a focus until post-monorepo.
- We should move the project to support OTLP after a userale 3.0. This needs further discussion and ultimately a roadmap page.
- Thanks to Josh for setting Ryan up as a committer.
- There's a need for a userale 3.0 release, but it should happen after migrating to a monorepo.
- As part of the centralization of project information into this repo, meeting notes, old confluence wiki info, and roadmap information will all live in this wiki.
