This is the special .github repository for the
BAUER GROUP organization. GitHub treats it as the source of
the organization's profile page and its default community health files: any file here is
inherited by every repository in the organization that does not provide its own.
👀 Looking for who we are and what we build? See the public profile: profile/README.md (rendered at github.com/bauer-group).
| File | Purpose | Cascades org-wide? |
|---|---|---|

| CAPABILITIES.md | Detailed, evidence-based technology capability overview | — (linked from profile) |
| SECURITY.md | Vulnerability disclosure policy | ✅ |
| CONTRIBUTING.md | Contribution guidelines & commit conventions | ✅ |
| CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md | Contributor Covenant 2.1 | ✅ |
| SUPPORT.md | Where to get help | ✅ |
| .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/ | Default bug / feature issue forms + config | ✅ |
| .github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md | Default pull-request template | ✅ |
| .github/CODEOWNERS | Review owners for this repo | — (never cascades) |
A repository overrides any of these defaults simply by shipping its own copy. Some repositories also generate or manage their own versions; those always take precedence over the defaults here.
- Keep marketing claims durable. Volatile figures (stack counts, framework versions) are written as floors ("80+") and dated snapshots, not exact numbers — see the convention in CAPABILITIES.md. Prefer claims that age gracefully.
- Contacts in the health files:
security@bauer-group.com(vulnerabilities) andconduct@bauer-group.com(Code of Conduct). - CODEOWNERS here (
* @bauer-group/core) governs only this repo — it does not cascade org-wide.
