This is a continuation of #708. After this PR, the
Referenceclass will represent essentially what ECMA-335 (section I.8.3) calls "locations": typed places that can each hold exactly one value of their type.Incidentally – and that's quite important for the further work that I'm planning to do towards #663 – locations are basically what managed pointers (
T&in CIL,ref Tin C#, or simply "by-refs") are allowed to refer to. This can help recognize false subtypes ofReference: after this PR, there will remain someReferencesubclasses that aren't really locations at all, and should beIExpressionimplementations instead. I'll deal with those in a subsequent PR.
