# duwit-hacks-code-of-conduct

The DUWiT Hacks Code of Conduct is in line with the Major League Hacking Code of Conduct (https://github.com/MLH/mlh-policies/blob/main/code-of-conduct.md) and the Hackathons UK Code of Conduct (https://www.hackathons.org.uk/code-of-conduct/). 

Event Code of Conduct:
- Participants must have a valid form of ID in their possession for the duration of the competition.
- Any form of harassment or bullying will not be tolerated and will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the MLH and Hackathons UK Code of Conduct.
- Participants must follow rules and regulations set out by Organisers and Volunteers during the event to ensure safety and smooth running.

Discord server Code of Conduct:
- Nicknames must be readable, appropriate, and contain no offensive language.
- Profile pictures must be visible, appropriate, and contain no offensive imagery.
- All members must be mindful of participants under the age of 18.
- All members must truthfully select the correct role to inform other members that they are either 18 or over, or under 18.
- Moderators reserve the right to change nicknames, mute, kick and ban members for behaviour that breaks the Code of Conduct.
- Prejudicial, inappropriate or offensive language will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the MLH and Hackathons UK Code of Conduct.
