Field Connect is a plugin for QGIS that establishes a connection with Field Desktop, a documentation software for archaeological field and find recording developed as a cooperation between the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) and the Head Office of the GBV Common Library Network (VZG).
The plugin enables the exchange of data between a QGIS project and a Field Desktop installation running on the same computer. In this context, it can also be used to create GeoPackage files from the data of a Field project.
The user interface of Field Connect is available in German and English.
Please note that Field Connect is currently in development and has not yet been released.
