Better Image Viewer is a modular IntelliJ Platform plugin that replaces the default image viewing workflow with a richer image editor tab.
- Opens common image formats in a dedicated Better Image Viewer editor.
- Supports zooming, fit-to-window, actual size, panning, and keyboard viewport movement.
- Provides a canvas context menu for file copy/cut, absolute or relative path copying, and common image actions.
- Supports rotating images left or right by 90 degrees, rotating by 180 degrees, resetting rotation, and flipping horizontally or vertically.
- Provides checkerboard background, pixel grid, and color channel toggles.
- Shows image metadata such as resolution, format, bit depth, and file size.
- Displays hovered pixel position and color values.
