Conversation
Create a README file for the 'get a copy of a form fillers' answers' feature.
Added content to README.md file explaining what the feature is and why it's needed
Created version1.md file and added some of the content.
Added 'Designs and content' H2, and more content.
Trying out how to format user journey summaries
Added folder to upload screenshots to
Uploaded screenshot files to link to from the version1 file - to illustrate designs and content for this feature
Added remaining content for this file - links to screenshot images illustrating new and iterated content for this feature, plus a description of each image
Added a section header for designs and content in the documentation.
Added bold formatting for consistency
Restructured version1.md. There are now 2 x H2s for the designs and screenshots - one for form creators and another for form fillers
Updated wording for clarity and consistency
Adjusted image size in the 'Check your answers' page section for users who opt not to receive a copy of their answers. This is a Mural screenshot and looks a bit blurry at this resolution.
| ## What | ||
| Until now, form fillers could choose to get an email confirming that their form had been submitted. They could not request a copy of their answers, even though they might want or need this. | ||
| For example, there are forms where users are required to get a copy of their answers as part of the application process - such as when someone needs to forward their responses on to another organisation. Having a copy of their answers also allows form fillers to refer back to what they’ve submitted for future use. |

It's debatable whether we're supporting cases where the user is required to get a copy of their answers. We can probably get away without the paragraph so maybe omit it?
| This new feature lets people request a copy of their answers, which will be included in the optional confirmation email. | ||
| In order to make this more secure, form fillers who want a copy of their answers will be asked to first sign into their GOV.UK One Login, or create a new one. We want them to use the email address linked to their GOV.UK One Login to help make sure that answers are not sent to the wrong email address. |

Suggest something like - "To make sure answers go to right place, we use GOV.UK One Login to authenticate the form filler's email address. Users can either use their existing GOV.UK One Login, or create a new one."
| ## Why | ||
| We were aware that form fillers not being able to receive a copy of their answers could be a potential blocker for some forms and processes. | ||
| A number of organisations, including Companies House and the Insolvency Service, told us that they were interested in this feature and wanted their users to have this option. |

Do we need to name the organisations? Not that it's sensitive info, but probably best not to use names without checking.

| - We’ll make it optional for form fillers to get a copy of their answers initially, and will monitor form creator usage/feedback on this | ||
| - The submission email to form creators won’t specify whether form fillers have opted to receive a confirmation email or not - we’ll wait for feedback from form creators about this | ||
| - We’ll use SES to send the confirmation email with a copy of someone’s answers |

Maybe say that AWS SES is the service we're already using to send submission emails (just to make it clear that we haven't added in a new data sub-processor?

Small style point - if we're using GOV.UK style, bullet points should probably start with a lower case letter
| - allow the form creator to avoid the risk of their form fillers getting distracted or lost in the GOV.UK One Login journey unnecessarily - for example, if it’s not really relevant or useful for a specific form | ||
| - give us the opportunity to make sure they're aware of what this feature means for the form filler, when it might be useful to turn it on, and what the potential risks are | ||
| - place the responsibility for the choice and risk with the form creator rather than with GOV.UK Forms |

Something like "allow form creators to manage the risk - rather than GOV.UK Forms making the decision for them" ?
| We considered ways to mitigate this risk and reconsidered the journey, but ended up sticking with our plan. | ||
| We raised a feature request to improve this with GOV.UK One Login, but it isn’t likely to be dealt with very quickly. For now, we’ve tried to mitigate this risk as much as possible by outlining the potential risk in the new content for form creators. |

Would say something like "We raised a feature request to improve this with GOV.UK One Login. In the interim ..."
| > We’ll only use the email address you provide here to send a confirmation that your form’s been successfully submitted. It will not contain a copy of your answers. | ||
| This is followed by 2 radio buttons with the label text ‘Yes’ and ‘No. |

This documentation outlines the design thinking for the 'let form fillers get a copy of their answers' feature.
It also documents the designs for new content, as well as iterations to existing content, for both form creators and form fillers.
How to review
Who can review
Any of the team's designers can review it, but @StephenGill designed much of the content would be well placed to sense check it.
