Summary

Delivers the remaining estate obligations (the .deed / .k9-coordination work per metadatastician/standards REQUIRED-FILES) and the documentation reconciliation.

Deed era (A2ML is retired — owner rulings D99, D269c, D312, D313)

  • pons-asinorum_chora.deed — repository facts (identity, authority, routing, status sources, licensing policy), modelled on the canon repo's own deed. #u8 uuid8 derived per ADR-008 profile C (SHA-256 preimage gv-clade-index:github.com/hyperpolymath/pons-asinorum).
  • 0-AI-MANIFEST.deed — agent front door: purpose, routing, pons' evidence-discipline invariants (never dress a heuristic as a proof; falsifier gate; no silent skips), startup checklist, attestation.
  • coordination.k9 — nerve receptor (schema k9-coordination 1.2.0): real Justfile recipes, seven invariants, protected paths, architecture decisions, innervation, do_not_create, terminology, ecosystem.
  • Both deeds pass the estate's normative deed_lint (grammar v1.2.0). The v1.0.0 python linter predates #u8 and is not normative (CI runs the js linter at the pinned SHA).
  • Legacy descriptiles stay frozen ("legacy source pointers, must not be extended"), exactly as the canon repo treats its own.

K9 contracts — 6/6 non-conforming → conforming

The old fork carried standards' documented §11.4 defect: phantom ../k9/template-hunt.k9.ncl imports (templates relocated estate-wide by ADR-001) and a pre-v1.0.0 pedigree. Adopted canon contracts + _base.ncl + INDEX.a2ml v2.1.0 from metadatastician/standards@8e48b1c; all six verbs now pass k9-validate.sh (L1 structural; L2 Nickel and L3 Ed25519 honestly skipped locally — CI's lane runs L2 with pinned Nickel).

CI

Documentation truth

Verification evidence (local)

  • deed_lint.js (normative, node): both deeds OK.
  • k9-validate.sh: six contracts conforming (skips reported as skips).
  • YAML ratchet: closed inventory re-totalled; KYAML style preserved.
  • No Rust changes: rust-ci is expected green; the two new lanes are the ones to watch.

Flagged for the owner (frozen-file drift, not edited)

  • Frozen 0-AI-MANIFEST.a2ml says MPL-2.0-or-later; LICENSE, headers and README say MPL-2.0.
  • Frozen PLAYBOOK.a2ml names Justfile recipes (bench, catalogue, man, docs, container-build) that no longer exist.

…OG truth

The .deed / .k9-coordination obligations per metadatastician/standards
(REQUIRED-FILES.adoc; A2ML retired by owner rulings D99, D269c, D312,
D313), plus the documentation reconciliation:

Deed era (new):
- pons-asinorum_chora.deed — the repository's facts (identity, authority,
routing, status sources, licensing policy), modelled on the canon repo's
own chora deed; :repo-uuid is the ADR-008 profile C uuid8 of
  gv-clade-index:github.com/hyperpolymath/pons-asinorum.
- 0-AI-MANIFEST.deed — the agent front door: purpose, front doors, routing,
the repository's evidence-discipline invariants, startup checklist,
  attestation.
- coordination.k9 — the nerve receptor (k9-coordination schema 1.2.0):
project facts, the nine real Justfile recipes, seven invariants,
protected paths, architecture decisions, innervation, do_not_create,
  terminology, ecosystem.
Both deeds pass the estate's normative deed_lint (grammar v1.2.0) under
node; the v1.0.0 python linter predates #u8 and is not normative.

K9 contracts (fixed):
- The six verb contracts (adjust/bust/dust/intend/must/trust .k9.ncl),
_base.ncl and INDEX.a2ml adopted from the estate canon at
metadatastician/standards@8e48b1c. The old fork carried the documented
  §11.4 defect: a phantom ../k9/template-hunt.k9.ncl import (the k9/
  templates were relocated estate-wide by ADR-001) and a pre-v1.0.0
  pedigree missing schema_version, component_type, capabilities,
  side_effects and the signature block — k9-validate reported 6/6
non-conforming. All six now conform (L1 structural; L2 Nickel and L3
Ed25519 honestly skipped locally, run in CI by the estate lane).
- contractiles/README.adoc: the k9 EXCEPTION section replaced by the
relocated-layer reality; the trident description now says what a
  <verb>.k9.ncl is.

CI (added):
- deed-conformance.yml and k9-conformance.yml calling the estate reusables
at metadatastician/standards@8e48b1c (the org spelling is load-bearing:
the Actions resolver does not follow the estate rename — measured in
#64), with require-files so an empty corpus fails rather than passing
vacuously. The YAML ratchet's closed inventory accounts for both files.

Documentation truth:
- wiki/Home.md: status block now names the 13 registered rules over six
grammars (PHP included), what is verified, and what remains (T2/T3,
  precision campaign).
- wiki/Roadmap.md: rebuilt — the shipped table (M0-M4, M7 plus the PHP
family, trace checker, deed-era metadata), remaining M5/M6/M8, the open
precision debt (#47, Wilson CI) stated rather than hidden, D4 recorded
  as overtaken by events.
- wiki/Rule-Catalogue.md: rewritten from the live registry (8 T0, 2 T1,
3 PHP) with the planned T2/T3 rules explicitly marked not-registered.
- CHANGELOG.adoc: records the #55/#56 hardening (previously unlogged),
this migration, and corrects the stale claim that the event-trace
protocol contracts are still deferred (they shipped in #55).
- README.adoc: estate-metadata section pointing agents at the three
  front-door files.

Legacy descriptiles are left frozen (must not be extended). Known drift
flagged for the owner: the frozen 0-AI-MANIFEST.a2ml says
MPL-2.0-or-later while LICENSE, headers and README say MPL-2.0; the
frozen PLAYBOOK.a2ml names Justfile recipes (bench, catalogue, man, docs,
container-build) that no longer exist.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added an automated DEED conformance check for pushes to the main branch, pull requests and manual runs.
    • Added repository metadata and coordination guidance, including entry points, verification commands and repository conventions.
  • Documentation

    • Updated the project status, roadmap and rule catalogue to reflect current shipped capabilities, remaining work and release criteria.
    • Clarified K9 contract validation status and where service-automation templates are documented.
  • Quality Improvements

    • Updated K9 contracts and validation records; the K9 conformance workflow remains unwired.

This PR adds repository deed and agent coordination metadata, updates six K9 contracts to use a shared pedigree schema, and adds DEED conformance workflow wiring. It also documents why the K9 workflow remains unwired and updates the changelog, README, and wiki.

Changes: Repository metadata and conformance

Layer / File(s) Summary
Repository identity and agent metadata
pons-asinorum_chora.deed, 0-AI-MANIFEST.deed, coordination.k9, README.adoc
New metadata describes repository identity, entry points, path routing, invariants, coordination, licensing rules, and sources of repository facts.

This PR adds repository metadata and documentation. A few statements are inaccurate: the licence identifier in the agent rules, the Python prohibition scope, the doc-drift gate scope, and the K9 conformance and CI status. These can mislead agents or readers but do not affect runtime behaviour. Correct them before merge or track them as follow-ups.

Explanation

The title names the main theme of the changeset: deed-era repository metadata, K9 contract adoption, and wiki/CHANGELOG reconciliation. The title is 73 characters and uses a colon-separated list of three themes. It is somewhat dense and uses the shorthand 'Estate conformance' and 'truth', but it refers to real, central parts of the change.

Explanation

The description covers the changeset in detail. It describes the new .deed and coordination.k9 files, the six K9 contract adoptions from the standards repository, the CI lanes and ratchet update, the wiki, CHANGELOG and README updates, and the local verification evidence. It also flags frozen-file drift for the owner.

…ane not wirable yet

Measured on PR #65's first runs: both new lanes died at job setup with
startup_failure when pinned to master (metadatastician/standards@8e48b1c).
The estate's own documentation (secret-scanner.yml, #64) names the
mechanism: a called workflow's pin must carry an actions.lock GitHub
accepts, and cf8f9121 is the measured-accepted commit.

- deed-conformance: deed-conformance.yml exists at cf8f9121; re-pinned
there, mirroring the working secret-scanner call shape (job-level
permissions). The master-pin refusal is documented in the file.
- k9-conformance: k9-conformance.yml does NOT exist at cf8f9121, so no
pin can start this lane today; master's pin is refused. The workflow
file now declares the measured status and the exact call to restore
when the estate publishes an accepted pin carrying it, instead of
being permanently red on every pull request for an estate-side reason.
The six verb contracts remain adopted canon and conform under
k9-validate.sh (layer 1); layers 2-3 were not run and are reported as
  skipped, never passed.

Correction (measured on this PR's first runs)

Both new CI lanes died at job setup with startup_failure — twice: pinned to master and pinned to cf8f9121 (the accepted pin the secret-scanner lane runs). The pin is not the variable; the org Actions allowlist is. Under the estate's selected actions posture, GitHub kills any uses: of a reusable the org's live patterns_allowed does not list — zero jobs, no log (mechanism documented in rhodium-standard-repositories/actions-allowlist/README.adoc). secret-scanner-reusable.yml is listed; deed-conformance.yml and k9-conformance.yml are not. Adding them is an estate-admin change.

Both workflow files now declare the measured status and the exact calls to restore once the estate lists them. Conformance evidence of record meanwhile: both deeds pass the normative deed_lint.js; the six K9 contracts are adopted canon and pass k9-validate.sh (L1; L2/L3 honestly skipped); estate / manifests passes on this tree.

hyperpolymath and others added 2 commits October 25, 2026 20:46
…g actions allowlist

Second measurement on PR #65: the deed lane also dies at startup pinned
to cf8f9121 (the accepted pin the secret-scanner reusable runs from).
The pin is therefore not the variable; the org Actions allowlist is.
Under the estate's selected actions posture, GitHub refuses at job setup
any uses: of a reusable the org's live patterns_allowed does not list
(rhodium-standard-repositories/actions-allowlist/README.adoc). The
secret-scanner reusable is listed; deed-conformance.yml and
k9-conformance.yml are not — an estate-admin change.

Both workflow files now state the measurement and the exact calls to
restore once the estate lists the reusables; CHANGELOG updated to match.
Conformance evidence of record: normative deed_lint passes both deeds;
six canon K9 contracts pass k9-validate (layer 1); estate/manifests is
green on this tree.

A workflow file with no `on:` makes GitHub manufacture a failing run
attributed to the file path on every push — the same artifact
secret-scanner.yml documents. Each status file now carries a
workflow_dispatch stub that reports the measured status and exits 0;
no pull-request or push trigger exists, so PRs stay clean.

The doc-drift gate already runs in CI.

The provenance gate reads tests/doc_drift.sh from the ledger, executes each declared command, and fails when the command returns a non-zero status. The documentation claim is supported. No change is required.

Use the repository’s declared licence identifier.

This agent rule says MPL-2.0-or-later, but the chora deed and README specify MPL-2.0 for code and configuration. An agent following this rule could add an inconsistent SPDX declaration to a new file. Change the rule to MPL-2.0. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Exclude analysed-language fixtures from the Python prohibition.

**/*.py also matches Python files under fixtures/. Line 66 says those fixtures are data, not prohibited tooling. An agent following do_not_create could therefore refuse to add a negative corpus required for a Python rule. Restrict the prohibition to tooling paths or state a fixture exception. Limit the doc-drift claim to what the gate checks.

The gate checks CLI documentation, catalogue IDs and man pages. It does not compare capability or verification-status claims in docs/EXNOVATION-ROADMAP.adoc with the binary. An agent could treat an unverified status claim as checked evidence. State the narrower check here. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Correct the K9 conformance status.

The K9 workflow is still commented out pending an accepted estate pin containing k9-conformance.yml. The PR objective also reports only L1 validation; L2 and L3 were skipped. Therefore, Line 35 and Lines 80-81 overstate the current CI gate. Mark the deed lane as wired, mark K9 as pending, and qualify contract conformance as L1.

Based on learnings, record this correction as a follow-up issue rather than blocking the current PR.

only still-valid issues, skip the rest with a brief reason, keep changes
minimal, and validate.

Review comment at @wiki/Roadmap.md at line 35:
Update the roadmap entries at line 35 and lines 80–81 to show the deed
conformance lane as wired, K9 conformance as pending, and contract conformance
as validated at L1 only; do not imply L2 or L3 validation or that the K9
workflow is active.

After applying the fix, consider running `coderabbit review --agent` for local
review. Visit https://docs.coderabbit.ai/cli?utm_source=ghpr

tests/workflows/validate_workflows_test.sh TEST 1b requires every
workflow file to carry a top-level, non-empty `name:` string. The
measured-status rewrite of the two unwired lane files dropped it, so
the workflow-validation suite failed inside the Provenance gate on an
otherwise green tree. Both files regain their names; the status text
and the dispatch-only heartbeat are unchanged.
