An IDE for thinking. Just as an IDE unifies editor, compiler, and debugger for a programmer, IWE unifies knowledge, planning, and AI agents into one environment for intellectual work.
Stop treating yourself as the thing to optimize — build the system in which you are the pilot. The superpowers aren't in the armor; they're in the person inside it. IWE turns you and your AI agents into a pilot + suit ensemble: an exoskeleton that amplifies your thinking and never replaces it. After every session you can do more — and explain it without "the AI told me."
A useful AI is assembled from six types of information — and four of them exist only in your life. No vendor can collect them for you. That's why IWE is a personal environment you grow, not another chat window you open.
How it works — the six types
| # | Type of information | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Model knowledge — everything the LLM already knows | The AI vendor |
| 2 | First principles — quality filters for reasoning and decisions | Open FPF corpus by Anatoly Levenchuk; IWE plugs it in |
| 3 | Stable facts about you — your stage, goals, constraints | Your life; written once, partly accumulated by the AI |
| 4 | Your activity stream — what you actually do and finish | Your daily work; best collected automatically |
| 5 | Your formalized knowledge base — your personal Pack: your domain, your distinctions, your rules | Only you can build it |
| 6 | Your decision chronicle — the working practice that can't be formalized | Only you, through practice itself |
The vendor sells you rows 1–2. Rows 3–6 can't be bought — they accumulate in your environment as you work. That accumulated structure is what makes your AI useful, and it compounds every session.
This is where the six types converge: a personal guide compiled from your diagnosed stage, your real activity, and your own knowledge base — and recompiled as you move, around the work you actually did. Not a one-size-fits-all course. The same guide engine runs standalone as guide-kit, powers the hosted platform, and ships inside the template as it hardens — one engine, not three.
This is not a course platform. The same session that ships your result also updates your knowledge base — nothing to "study later." The work is the curriculum.
⭐ iwesys/IWE — the template distribution. Get the template and make it yours: protocols, AI-agent roles, memory, and knowledge formalization on top of Claude Code — or any AI agent that can read files in a repository.
iwesys/guide-kit — the guide engine, standalone. Bring your own notes and your own AI assistant (any vendor, or a local model) and get a personal development guide — no account, no cloud, nothing leaves your machine. The same engine also runs the guide inside the hosted platform and the IWE template above.
iwesys/growth-traits-lab — the research lab, independent of the platform team. Studies which characteristics — general and craft-specific — actually drive development, and what grows them. Open pre-registration, cohort forming now.
