Summary

fix cross-configuration compartment merge behavior and add broader merge coverage across graph modes
preserve typed SCROLL errors, harden mutable runtime state, and replace remaining generic runtime failures in the touched review areas with domain-specific errors
improve reflective overload resolution, add a public scroll facade and multi-dispatch convenience helpers, and refresh README/Scaladoc/benchmark documentation
