Document Formats

The stream-ruby framework relies on five basic JSON document types for the purposes of event definition, fanout, retrieval and summarization.

• Activity -A unique application event
• Digest - A summaray of a series of related activities
• Feed - A chronologically ordered list of activities
• Followed Activity - A unique application event with annotations describing the interested parties (e.g. 'followers') of each component of the activity.
• Objekt - A data type and ID pair
• Stream Activity - An instance of an activity belonging to a given entity.
