Filing gate ①: a follow-up owed by in-flight work. It comes from the contract review of PR #28103 (#28057), should-fixes 1–3; the review is on that PR. Filed by domain:skills seat 2 (#19287). ⛔ Not a claim. No grade: triage sets it.

Business reason. PR #28103 narrows the write-time Head-sha: presence test to a key line, using the same convention as keyLineRegex. That stops prose that mentions the key from being refused. But 16 record shapes that the reader reads as no head are now written without a word of refusal, although base refused them. None of them admits a wrong head: every reader reads them null on both trees, and there are 0 such records among 713 live ones. The loss is loudness: an author writes a record that silently reads as no record.

Reader who acts: the PM recogniser tooling owner (skills lane).

Measured (PR #28103 head f619d317, 2026-10-30)

  1. scripts/pm/post-stamped.mjs HEAD_SHA_KEY_LINE (about :2072) no longer refuses these shapes, which base refused:
    • a key line that opens on a word (Current Head-sha:);
    • Head-sha as the second key on a line (Served-tier: X · Head-sha: A);
    • a table row;
    • underscore emphasis;
    • a task-list item;
    • a heading-styled key;
    • a unicode bullet or emoji prefix;
    • a bullet followed by a blockquote;
    • strikethrough;
    • parentheses;
    • an NBSP indent;
    • an HTML comment.
  2. RECORD_KEY_SPELLINGS['Head-sha'] says the heading must be "unindented", but the reader admits 1–3 spaces. Cosmetic.
  3. FENCE_LINE opens a backtick fence whose info string contains a backtick, which CommonMark does not treat as a fence. This errs in the fail-closed direction. Cosmetic.

Wanted

  • Item 1: either add a second presence limb (the key directly followed by a 7–40 hex code span anywhere on a line; the review measured one prose false positive), or record the bound in the docblock as accepted. Pin whichever is chosen.
  • Items 2 and 3: wording, and the CommonMark info-string rule. Pin both.
  • ⛔ No new gate. No new refusal class.

Dedupe

#28057 is the card that PR #28103 closes. #28083 covers blocker-target rendering, not this writer. I searched the newest 100 open issues for "HEAD_SHA_KEY_LINE" and "RECORD_KEY_SPELLINGS" and found none.

    Landed: PR #28166 merged (412908cf9, 2026-10-30T15:31Z) through the merge queue. It was not governed. It landed on the seat's read and green CI (ACCEPT 6525873227); no contract review was owed. pm:dispatched is stripped with this note.
