💎 Welcome to eDocker v1.0.0

We are thrilled to announce the first official release of eDocker — an ultra-lightweight, modern Docker management studio built with Rust (Tauri) and Vue 3. This version marks a major milestone in providing a fast, beautiful, and secure alternative for container management.

✨ Highlights

  • 🚀 Performance: Blazing fast startup and minimal resource overhead (sub-100MB RAM usage).
  • 📦 Container Management: Full lifecycle control (Start, Stop, Restart, Delete) with grouped docker-compose project views.
  • 🖥️ Interactive Terminal: Real-time, bi-directional terminal access using xterm.js to execute commands directly inside your containers.
  • 📜 Live Logs & Inspection: Stream logs in real-time and inspect detailed container metadata instantly.
  • 🧹 Smart Cleanup: Built-in tools to prune dangling images, unused volumes, and stopped containers to save disk space.
  • 🎨 Premium UI: A sleek, fully dark-themed interface built for developer comfort and productivity.
  • 🌍 Multi-platform: Native builds for macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel), Windows, and Linux.

🛠️ Technical Improvements

  • Migrated to Yarn for faster and more reliable dependency management.
  • Robust Docker API integration via Bollard (Rust).
  • Secure local execution — no data ever leaves your machine.
