Advanced Energy Card is a Home Assistant custom Lovelace card that renders animated energy flows, aggregates PV strings and batteries, and surfaces optional EV charging metrics in a cinematic layout. Advanced Energy Card is the heart of what is Lumina Energy Card and is what should have been version 2.0 of Lumina.

One-click install (HACS):
Click the badge → your Home Assistant opens → the repo is added to HACS. Then go to HACS → Frontend, search Advanced Energy Card, and install. Finally: Dashboard → Edit → Add card → Advanced Energy Card.
- Open HACS in Home Assistant and choose Frontend.
- Use the three-dot menu → Custom repositories.
- Enter
https://github.com/ratava/advanced-energy-card, pick Dashboard, and click Add. - Locate Advanced Energy Card under Frontend and click Install.
- Restart Home Assistant if prompted.

Battery sensor requirement (EN): For each battery (
bat1..bat4) supply either the combinedsensor_batX_poweror bothsensor_batX_charge_powerandsensor_batX_discharge_power. Readings may be in W or kW; the card handles conversions automatically.
The card now selects the grid animation path automatically:
- When a PV total (
sensor_pv_total) or at least one Array 1 string sensor exists, imports and exports animate along the inverter conduit just like before. - If
sensor_pv_totaland all Array 1 string slots are left blank, the card assumes you're running directly from the grid: the animation shifts to the house branch, the grid arrow points at the home, and PV-only UI (Daily Yield badge + PV popup) stays hidden. - When
grid_power_onlyis enabled, the card always uses the direct grid→house path and hides inverter/battery flows, even if PV sensors are configured.
The legacy grid→house toggle has been removed, so delete any grid_flow_mode entries from your YAML. Detection now happens every render and grid_activity_threshold still governs when the animation starts.
The card provides five editable popup groups (PV, House, Battery, Grid, Inverter). Each popup exposes up to six entity slots, optional custom names, per-line colour pickers, and font-size controls.
The entities specfied in here will not have any conversions done to them other tha the name override if you specify one. This has been done delibertly so it is more flexible.
It is not only sensors that can be specifed in the popups. Text based entities can be displayed (e.g. alerts). If you have a sensor that needs its units converted. Please use
a helper to display it.

- For Amazon Echo display users a special option has been added in the General Setting called Echo Alive. It is designed to keep the screen from blanking while in full screen.

- If you are reporting a bug please be as descriptive as possible. Include screenshots. If it relates to specific sensors not working please supply a screenshot of the sensor configuration.
- Feature requests will need to have genuine merit and not be one off requests for personal change for your own configuration. It must have merit for other users. (for instance additional Languages)
- Not all feature requests will be actioned. That said this card is being actively developed. New layout with different themes will be added in future versions.

Requisito de sensor de batería: Para cada batería (
bat1..bat4) proporcione elsensor_batX_powercombinado o ambossensor_batX_charge_powerysensor_batX_discharge_power. Las lecturas pueden estar en W o kW; la tarjeta maneja las conversiones automáticamente.
- El modo Kiosco de pantalla completa para esta tarjeta se puede lograr utilizando el plugin HACS Kiosk Mode Kiosk Mode by NemesisRE o para tabletas Android

- Para los usuarios de pantalla Amazon Echo se ha agregado una opción especial en la Configuración General llamada Echo Alive. Está diseñada para evitar que la pantalla se apague mientras está en pantalla completa.
- Si tiene problemas genuinos o solicitudes de funciones, registre un Issue en el repositorio de github
- Si está reportando un error, sea lo más descriptivo posible. Incluya capturas de pantalla. Si se relaciona con sensores específicos que no funcionan, proporcione una captura de pantalla de la configuración del sensor.
- Las solicitudes de funciones deben tener mérito genuino y no ser solicitudes únicas para cambios personales de su propia configuración. Debe tener mérito para otros usuarios (por ejemplo, idiomas adicionales)
- No todas las solicitudes de funciones serán ejecutadas. Dicho esto, esta tarjeta está siendo desarrollada activamente. Nuevos diseños con diferentes temas se agregarán en versiones futuras.
