Build the local Worker and Triage fixture loop - #325
Adds the backend-neutral local Worker/Triage fixture loop. Each cycle exports isolated Worker projections, validates role-restricted patch bundles, preserves contributions with private integration merge commits, runs fixture tests, and routes strictly sanitized feedback to the affected Workers.
The fixtures cover test, implementation, both-fault, and specification-gap outcomes, including a partial fix that still fails. Retries are bounded and deterministic. Passing tests advance the WMS item to inspecting, specification gaps move it to blocked, and retry exhaustion records an escalation while preserving building. Private hash-linked evidence records every cycle, sanitizer decision, cleanup audit, and authoritative lifecycle response. Accepted patch audits are pinned atomically with integration refs; recovery rebuilds their JSON views, and failed rollback preserves authoritative evidence.
Real model execution and Fullsend integration remain separate work under #172.
Validation:
Full go test ./... runs in source-control-manager and wms.
go vet ./... and gofmt checks.
CI-pinned golangci-lint v2.14.0: no issues.
All applicable configured pre-commit hooks through scripts/lint.py.
Recovery and rollback failure tests plus end-to-end outcome and evidence regressions.
go mod tidy -diff and git diff --check.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added a deterministic Worker/Triage fixture workflow with work-item claims, lease renewals, integration tests, retries, and pass or escalation outcomes.
Worker feedback is sanitized before routing, and private cycle evidence can be verified and recovered.
Worker contributions can be merged while keeping worker repositories isolated; rejected or failed publications avoid partial changes.
Replayed run identities are rejected. The fixture does not run models autonomously.
Documentation
Added guidance on fixture setup, feedback routing, retry behavior, evidence recovery, and local testing.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Directly linked issue #69 has four coding acceptance criteria. The reviewed head is 658bdf6. Its new commit (fix(jobsite): publish cycle audit records atomically) adds loop_integration_audit.go. That file pins accepted audit JSON blobs under refs/protobot/cycle-audits/ and validates them in readCycleAudits and validateCycleAuditCommit. It rebuilds missing JSON views in recoverCycleAudits. This strengthens the #69 criterion for auditable evidence. The earlier coverage still applies.
Test, implementation, both-fault, and specification-gap outcomes [#69]: SanitizeFeedback in triage.go defines FaultNone, FaultTest, FaultImplementation, FaultBoth, and FaultSpecificationGap, and routes feedback by fault. TestWorkerTriageFixtureOutcomes in loop_test.go covers these outcomes.
Worker feedback excludes peer source, assertions, expected/actual values, raw logs, and raw Inspector findings [#69]: WorkerFeedback has no free-text field. SanitizeFeedback uses fixed text and records discarded fields in RedactionDecision. TestSanitizeFeedbackDropsAllFreeText covers this.
Deterministic retry limits and terminal escalation [#69]: LoopRequest.MaxRetries and RetriesRemaining bound retries. Terminal constants LoopPassed, LoopSpecGap, LoopRetryExhausted, LoopFailed, and LoopCancelled define outcomes. TestSanitizeFeedbackDeterministicExhaustion and TestWorkerTriageFixtureEvidenceIsDeterministic cover this.
Auditable evidence and stable status transitions [#69]: CycleEvidence links each cycle by digest. VerifyCycleEvidence checks order, links, and hashes. loop_wms.go checks WMS state, version, and fence. The head commit makes accepted audit records authoritative through atomic ref pinning and rebuildable views. Recovery and rollback tests in loop_integration_audit_test.go cover this.
Uncertainty: the incremental diff of loop_integration.go at 658bdf6 could not be read because changed blobs are missing from the checkout. The publication behavior of MergeCycle relies on the PR summary and on the readable loop_integration_audit.go. No unmet requirement is shown.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The head commit 658bdf6 changes audit persistence for the fixture loop. Its files are loop_integration_audit.go and loop_integration_audit_test.go. These support the #69 requirement for auditable fixture evidence. No unrelated change is evidenced. The prior changed areas remain within #69 scope: loop.go, loop_integration.go, loop_wms.go, triage.go, their tests, the go.mod replace directive for ../wms, and the README and doc.go updates. The README and doc.go state that real model execution and Fullsend integration are later work under #172, and no such integration is added. The incremental diff of loop_integration.go could not be read, so its exact contents are not verified. This does not change the conclusion because the changed behavior matches the #69 audit scope.

source-control-manager/internal/jobsite/loop_integration.go:128-177 🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift
Write accepted audit records before the integration refs move, or add a recovery step for the gap.
Lines 133-134 publish the cycle refs and move refs/heads/main. Lines 165-177 write the accepted audit files only after that publication. An interruption after line 134 leaves the integration branch advanced with no accepted audit records for those contributions. The two stores are updated in separate steps, and nothing recovers the gap.
No startup or reconciliation code in the inspected jobsite package compares accepted audit files with the refs/heads/integration/... refs. The only related guard is the run-identity check in loop.go:164-166, which blocks a rerun and asks for reconciliation.
A retry of the same cycle can fail as stale. Line 133 expects refs/heads/main to still equal base, and the create lines fail when a cycle ref already exists. Both failures return CodePatchStale at line 135.
The rollback path at lines 138-158 has two ordering defects. Line 140 discards os.Remove errors with _ =. Line 148 deletes the refs after the audits are removed. If a removal fails, a stale accepted audit remains for contributions that were rolled back. If the ref rollback fails, the audits are already gone while the refs stay published.
Reordering the writes only moves the inconsistency to the other side. A correct fix needs a durable intent record that a restart can replay or undo. Removal errors must also be returned, not discarded.

Pin accepted audit blobs in the same Git transaction as integration refs, recover derived JSON views, and preserve audit evidence until ref rollback succeeds. Cover interrupted view publication, metadata tampering, and rollback failures.
Accepted audit JSON blobs are now pinned by private audit refs in the same atomic Git transaction as the contribution refs and integration branch. RecoverCycleAudits validates those records and rebuilds missing derived JSON views before another import. Rollback restores refs before deleting views, preserves authoritative evidence if ref rollback fails, and propagates cleanup errors.
The recovery, partial-publication, metadata-tampering, and rollback-failure tests pass, along with the loop outcome and deterministic-evidence regressions. The CI-pinned golangci-lint reports zero issues, and all applicable pre-commit hooks pass.
Large additive-only change introducing internal fixture loop components with balanced test coverage, low churn on touched files, and full alignment with linked issue acceptance criteria.
[logic-error]source-control-manager/internal/jobsite/loop.go:165 — A replayed claim is applied as a successful lifecycle update before the fixture refuses to resume. loopLifecycle.call() treats an OK authoritative decision as current even when Decision.Replayed is true, copying After (Building, the original claim's version/fence) into the in-memory lifecycle. RunFixtureLoop only inspects Replayed after claim() returns nil (loop.go:165), then errors without dispatching. The deferred report still publishes that applied snapshot as LoopReport.State/ContractVersion (loop.go:150). TestWorkerTriageFixtureRejectsReplayedRunIdentity correctly asserts the live WMS item stays Inspecting and is unchanged, and that Transitions[0] is Replayed, but it does not check report.State — so a historical RunID on an already-advanced item can write report.json with Building under the old fence/version while WMS is Inspecting at a later contract version. That is not a WMS mutation (dispatch is refused; Terminal is LoopFailed; Replayed is recorded), but it does break the happy-path invariant that report.State matches the live item.
Remediation: Treat Replayed as a non-resume result inside claim/call: do not copy After/fence/version from a replayed decision into loopLifecycle when RunFixtureLoop will not resume. Reject the run with the existing single-use error while leaving lifecycle.state/version at the pre-claim snapshot (ReadyForBuilding at the requested version), or record an explicit non-current replay without promoting it to LoopReport.State. Extend TestWorkerTriageFixtureRejectsReplayedRunIdentity to require report.State/ContractVersion not equal the replayed Building snapshot when the live item is Inspecting.
[documentation comment format]source-control-manager/internal/jobsite/loop.go:18 — Exported constant block defining terminal fixture loop outcomes (LoopPassed, LoopSpecGap, LoopRetryExhausted, LoopFailed, LoopCancelled) lacks a doc comment. Sibling files across internal/jobsite (such as audit.go, patch.go, sandbox.go, and error.go) consistently document exported constant groups with a doc comment describing the set.
Remediation: Add a preceding doc comment to the constant block, for example: // Terminal fixture loop outcomes.

Remediation: Update README.md line 81 to include the Worker/Triage fixture loop (Build the local Worker and Triage fixture loop #69), for example: internal/jobsite/ # Worker/Triage fixture loop, projection isolation, and sandbox contract (#69, #78, #79)
