Sorry, tried this and the sergeant I hired, after a load, came back as a private anyways. Will work a bit more on this. I'll test later if it at least is saving the xp number.

Seems like the game isnt saving ranks at all. Lets see if this works.

20260518151229_1 On load, failed recruits from older tests. 20260518151249_1 Hiring a new dude. 20260518151421_1 After load, new name, but same rank.

This is at least saving the ranks now. I think it is also saving the XP, but I need to move my guys somewhere far so they at least kill someone. Will test later, paired with the gang quests for weapon delivery

Huh, apparently the first save changes the soldier name, but subsequent saves keeps them. It is possible that is just another line on the save parameter, but will focus first on the xp

20260518155744_1 After conflict (RIP Alexandrios), Manella is a new recruit 20260518155933_1 After loading, so yea. XP and rank now being saved (Manella now identifies as Papadopoulos)

Btw, it seems that, unless the bullet actually kills the enemy, the recruit does not get xp. Meaning that if they do 'Kinda lethal' damage and then the enemy dies, the kill count is attributed to the player.

Anyways, ready for merge.
