Follow-up agreed in the #289 review (with @giorgosHadji): the docs should use "Mandarin" everywhere, not "Chinese Mandarin", matching the canonical row on the languages page (Mandarin | cmn).

Targeting feature/disfluency so it rides in with #289.

Changes

docs/speech-to-text/formatting.mdx — the three "Chinese Mandarin" occurrences:

  • "Available Chinese Mandarin locales:" → "Available Mandarin locales:"
  • Disfluency supported-languages list: "Chinese Mandarin (cmn)" → "Mandarin (cmn)", moved to its alphabetical position (M)
  • Smart formatting languages list: "Chinese Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional)" → "Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional)", also moved to M

.CLAUDE/context/terminology.md — records "Mandarin" as the canonical form ("Chinese Mandarin"/"Mandarin Chinese" in the do-not-use column). This is assistant-context, not deployed site content.

Checks

  • Repo-wide grep (docs/, spec/, src/) — no other "Chinese Mandarin" occurrences remain
  • cspell on the changed file: 0 issues
  • No headings changed, so no internal anchors break

Follow-up agreed in PR #289 review: match the canonical "Mandarin"
(cmn) naming from the languages page. Renames the three occurrences in
formatting.mdx (output locales, disfluency and smart formatting language
lists) and re-alphabetizes the renamed list entries. Adds a terminology
entry recording "Mandarin" as canonical.

@giorgosHadji this is the "Mandarin" (not "Chinese Mandarin") rename we agreed in the #289 review. I've targeted it at your feature/disfluency branch so it lands with #289 rather than as a separate change against main.

Next step is yours: review and merge this into feature/disfluency when you're happy, and it'll ride in with #289. Flag me if you'd rather I retarget it to main and land it independently instead.

One thing to note: it also adds a Mandarin row to .CLAUDE/context/terminology.md (assistant context, not deployed site content), so that appears in the diff too — happy to split it out if you'd prefer to keep #289 purely feature changes.
