I will re-run reproductions on #1579 and #1580 to prove this helps the entire dev cycle from issue to PR. gonna keep #1566 open as I think there's a better north star here but the only way forward I'm seeing is to buy more into nix and idk if that's something we are open to (FWIW it is a heck of a lot faster w/ nix replacing docker) |

also working on getting the DB packages updated in nixpkgs this will make it easier to buy into nix, at least even just in the CI |
