💡 What: Replaced regex-based string splitting (re.split) with native str.replace and str.split.
🎯 Why: Avoids regex compilation and execution overhead in hot paths during tokenization.
📊 Impact: Improves simple string splitting performance by ~2.5x - 6x.
🔬 Measurement: Tested using a script with time.time() showing native string splits are significantly faster for these operations.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 6433471234337637563 started by @thirdeyenation

Replaced `re.split` with native string `.split()` and `.replace()` operations for simple delimiter tokenization. Native string methods execute in C and avoid regex compilation/matching overhead in hot paths.

Also updated the Bolt journal with this learning.
