OLM is part of the Operator Framework, an open source toolkit by Red Hat for managing Kubernetes-native applications called Operators. Running inside a cluster, it handles installation, upgrade, and dependency resolution through custom resources such as CatalogSource, Subscription, and ClusterServiceVersion. OLM is the engine behind OperatorHub.io and ships by default in Red Hat OpenShift.
