Tyler Szakacs

I build AI products, agent infrastructure, and iOS apps. Based in Philadelphia.

GitHub shows the public work: agent tooling, MCP servers, and developer automation. I also build private software for small businesses through Szakacs Media. My personal site adds the client work, writing, and the thinking behind what I build.

Products

Vero is a native iOS finance app that answers plain-English questions about your money. It connects your accounts through Plaid, reasons over the actual transactions, and answers in a sentence instead of a chart. Every answer cites the transactions behind it. Swift and SwiftUI. Live on the App Store.

Payday is an iOS tip and shift tracker for hourly and tipped work. It logs shifts, computes your true hourly rate, projects the month, and exports clean records. Swift and SwiftUI. Live on the App Store.

Pallium is a local-first control plane for AI coding agents. It keeps repo memory, verification, sessions, and dynamic multi-agent workflows on your machine, so agent work can be inspected, resumed, and governed outside a single chat window. Go, on npm.

Preflight is an open-source App Store review scanner for iOS projects. npm install -g preflightlaunch.

Mac apps

Margin is a fast, native Mac editor for Markdown and plain text, made to sit next to your AI coding agents. Agent edits to an open file appear live and undo with one Cmd-Z, and margin current tells an agent exactly what you are looking at. AppKit, signed and notarized, MIT.

OpenScreen makes polished iPhone, iPad and Mac demo videos: wired iPhone capture, automatic tap detection, zoom-to-tap, device frames, and App Store-ready exports. Free and open source.

Lectern presents HTML slide decks like Keynote: presenter view, speaker notes, USB clickers, two screens. A tiny native Mac app, built for decks made by AI agents.

Client work

Wellspring is a private EHR I custom-built for a small nutrition practice: charting, scheduling, patient handouts, inventory, and supplement sales in one system, synced with Square.

How I build

design-thesis is the design law behind my products, distilled from everything I've shipped: one accent color that acts, shadow over borders, undo over confirmation dialogs, copy that states facts. It ships as a README for people and an LLM.md for machines. Paste the LLM edition into an agent at the start of a session and it builds like I do. How it was distilled.

apple-native is an LLM-optimized catalog of Apple-native SwiftUI components, iOS 13 through 26, so agents reach for what Apple already built before building their own.

Public work

Agent infrastructure

  • summit: agent skills to build an eval, hillclimb it, and red-team it, until your AI stops being confidently wrong
  • pulse: web analytics for AI agents. Self-hosted Umami plus a plain-English API, so your agent can answer "how did my site do this week?"
  • pixel: image cutouts, transparent PNGs, recoloring, and Topaz-backed upscaling for agents
  • agent-pdf: clean PDFs from templates, so agents make zero design decisions
  • vero-agent-connect: the public connector for the Vero Agent Access API

MCP servers

  • app-store-connect-mcp: App Store Connect APIs and release automation
  • ghub: multi-account Gmail with built-in OAuth onboarding
  • imessage-mcp: iMessage access, conversation search, and attachments
  • safari-mcp: local Safari control, page extraction, and WebDriver screenshots
  • outlook-mcp: Microsoft Outlook via the Graph API, multi-account

Developer tooling

  • timer: a persistent timer and stopwatch for the command line that survives terminal exits and sleep
  • spotify-cli: control Spotify from the terminal
  • sourcekit-lsp-marketplace: Swift and Objective-C support in Claude Code via SourceKit-LSP
  • server-ai-phone-number: give a Linux AI agent an iMessage number over Mac SSH

Games

  • scrapfall: a browser wave-survival shooter on real-scale maps, built with Toby Szakacs. Play it

Stack

Swift, SwiftUI, AppKit, TypeScript, Go, Python, SQL, Next.js, Astro, Supabase, PlanetScale, Vercel, Xcode
