Admin Edit Users

Chris Carlevato edited this page Mar 27, 2017 · 1 revision

Admin users are listed alphabetically by last name and first name. Beside side each admin are two icons:

  • Edit Admin - Click this icon to edit the admin.
  • Delete Admin - Click this icon to delete the admin.

Once you have made your selection for the admin to edit you can edit any of the following admin account information.

Admin Details

  • First Name - Administrator's First Name
  • Last Name - Administrator's Last Name
  • Email - Administrator's Email Address (also serves as their account username)
  • Password - Admin users cannot change one anothers' passwords.

Email Notice Settings

Each admin user can have custom notice settings configured to the preferences/responsibilities. To enable a notice check the checkbox beside it when creating the account to activate that notice for the user.

  • New Events - Select for an email notice each time a new submission is received from the public event submission form.
  • Login Failure - Select for an email notice each time there is a failed admin log in attempt.

Note: Failed login notices include the username, IP Address, User Agent and Server Timestamp of the failed login. To protect users privacy the notice does not include the attempted password.

Account Summary

When editing admin users an account summary is available providing detailed information about the admin.

  • Status - Unlocked/Locked, identifies if the account is currently able to access the admin console.
  • Sign Ins - The total number of sign ins for the account since it's creation.
  • Lockout Score - The number of failed sign in attempts in the last 24 hours. When this number reaches the Login Attempts Limit the account will be locked for 24 hours.
  • Last Sign In - Timestamp of the last successful login.
  • Password Age - Time, in days, since the user last changed their password. When this value reaches the limit set by the Password Age setting the user will be prompted to change their password after signing in.
  • Recent Sign Ins - A log of the last 100 sign ins for the account. Includes Timestamp, IP Address & User Agent at time of sign in. Failed sign in attempts are highlighted.

Note: All timestamps associated with the admin account summary are tracked in local server time. These timestamps will not take the Offset Server Time setting into account. This is done so that these sign in records can be compared equally with other server logs if needed without having to adjust the timestamps associated with tracked Helios Calendar actions.

Saving Your Changes

When you have finished click the “Save Admin” button to save any changes made to the account.

Note: If the email address for an admin user is changed that user must change their password before their next sign in.
