sink: add native Lake sink and self-contained E2E - #6705
Add an experimental native Lake sink so incremental TiDB changes go directly from TiCDC to Lake, without the Canal JSON -> object storage -> separate bend-cdc consumer hop.
Expose lake:// (HTTPS), loopback-only lake+http://, LakeSinkType, Lake errors and ticdc_lake_* metrics. Core code is in downstreamadapter/sink/lake; the local test entry point is make integration_test_lake.
Normalize native typed rows once, preserve source PK/UK split ordering, composite identities, binary/ENUM/SET, exact decimal/JSON/null and temporal values. A truly keyless table needs both an explicit stable conflict-key and TiCDC force-replicate = true.
Use shared bounded source admission, fixed table lanes, quota-limited memory/disk spool and delayed enqueue callbacks. Ordinary shared quota or lane-queue pressure waits cancellably instead of terminating the feed. Independent workers drain the queues; no collector/dispatcher API or additional waiting-event queue is introduced. An individual event larger than the whole source budget still fails closed.
Apply parameter-bound raw INSERTs, retained-raw MERGE and strict compaction with retained tombstones. Complete a source event only after confirmed application of all its fragments and tracker sealing. Streams, manifests and persistent DML ledgers are not required.
Support incremental table creation, a conservative column-DDL subset and durable pending/applied schema epochs, including TRUNCATE recovery and old-event replay fences. Explicitly skipped table rename/database drop preserve target objects and warn.
Require matching query IDs and terminal success. Unknown mutation outcomes stop without blind retry or early ACK; check capture write admission again at the HTTP mutation boundary.
Provide owned local backend/source/capture E2E with temporary loopback credentials, real value comparisons, disk-spool observation, drained restart and real-backend response-loss tests. Detect existing loopback/wildcard listeners before source startup; check Python 3.10+ before building and hash binaries incrementally.
Documentation: retain only the final English design and E2E results. Historical proposals, review drafts, separate reports and the duplicated test README are removed. Links are repository-relative and personal filesystem paths are absent. Only actual backend wire headers/image identifiers and fixed legacy baseline APIs retain their real backend names.
Initial boundaries: controlled single capture and an explicitly exclusive target, not a new automatic HA/fencing service. exclusive=true is an operator assertion. Partition dispatchers, across-node splitting, syncpoints, active-active, redo, arbitrary routing/schema translation, global hard storage quotas and full snapshot/Dumpling/CSV/COPY initialization are not claimed. Prepare a consistent starting state independently; no transparent takeover of an old bend-cdc journal is promised. Other sinks and the collector/progress framework are not redesigned.

Tests
Unit test
PASS: go test -p 2 -race ./downstreamadapter/sink/lake ./downstreamadapter/sink ./pkg/sink/spool ./pkg/errors ./pkg/config ./downstreamadapter/sink/metrics -count=1 -timeout=180s.
PASS: focused schema-store race tests and downstream-type metrics tests.
PASS: event-count, byte-budget, full control/lane queue, cancellation and concurrent Close regressions; 30 repeated race-enabled admission/Close runs.
PASS: loopback-only plaintext URI cases, including IPv6, and rejection of remote/wildcard/misleading hosts.
PASS: nine Python lifecycle tests, including real wildcard-listener detection, streaming hashing, minimum-version rejection and canonical ownership cleanup. Runners parse with Python 3.10 grammar; an older interpreter fails before building.
Integration test
PASS: rebuilt the review working tree and reran all nine fully local suites with the renamed Lake entry points and a one-event shared source pool. All 27 Python scenarios, three real-backend Go tests and 19 DDL response-loss boundaries passed.
PASS: observed 41 actual disk-spool readbacks, large-event streaming through a 64 KiB quota and a drained capture restart from the original safe checkpoint.
PASS: all owned database/feed cleanup; independent checks found neither capture PID, no owned backend containers and no temporary URI file.
Manual test
PASS: current-tree build, scoped vet, fresh-cache lint (0 issues), Go/import/Python/shell formatting, relative-link and personal-path checks, and secret scanning (no leaks).
The local run used macOS arm64, Go 1.26.9, TiDB v8.5.1 and the pinned compatible backend image documented in the design. The binary was built using make cdc GOBUILD='CGO_ENABLED=1 GO111MODULE=on go build -p 2' to reuse the local cache, then passed via E2E_CDC_BINARY; build defaults were not changed. No Linux/amd64 CI, production deployment, general HA, performance or cost result is inferred. CI status is separate from these local results.
From the checkout root, with Docker, TiUP, mysql CLI, Python 3.10+ and Go available:
make integration_test_lake
# Or reuse an explicitly built current-tree binary:
E2E_CDC_BINARY="$PWD/bin/cdc" make integration_test_lake
Questions
Will it cause performance regression or break compatibility?
This adds a new experimental sink. Existing sink schemes and enum values remain unchanged. Lake is the sole public namespace for this unreleased feature. Full-raw MERGE/compaction can increase scan/rewrite cost; removing an intermediate hop does not prove overall savings. Shared admission may temporarily block an existing handler, so per-table latency isolation and a total process RSS cap are not promised. Unsupported inputs and unknown outcomes fail closed.
Do you need to update user documentation, design documentation or monitoring documentation?
Yes: one final English document now contains configuration, supported/rejected behavior, source ownership/backpressure, raw/MERGE, DDL recovery, metrics, migration boundaries, test commands and measured E2E results.
Release note
Add an experimental native Lake sink with bounded shared admission and local spool, retained-raw MERGE, supported DDL recovery, and self-contained local end-to-end tests.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added an experimental native Lake sink for replicating TiCDC data, including DML handling, supported schema changes, batching, and configurable resource limits.
Added support for Lake sink configuration and metrics, with HTTPS endpoints by default and plaintext connections limited to loopback hosts.
Tests
Added local and opt-in live integration tests for replication, schema changes, recovery, and failure handling.
Consume native change events through bounded memory and quota-limited
local spool into retained raw rows, target MERGE and compaction. Preserve
key identity, type mapping, DDL epochs and callback completion ordering.
Register Databend/lake schemes, explicit conflict keys and metrics with
limited existing-sink integration. Stop on ambiguous mutation outcomes
and document controlled single-capture target-exclusivity requirements.
Include design and acceptance reports, focused unit/race tests, real
backend response-loss tests and an owned local Databend/TiUP/TiCDC runner.
No collector credit protocol, automatic HA service or full snapshot
initialization is introduced.

Explanation
The PR satisfies the coding requirements in [#6704]. downstreamadapter/sink/sink.go registers the native lake and loopback-only lake+http schemes and the Lake sink factory. downstreamadapter/sink/lake implements native row conversion, key identity, ordering, tombstones, supported types, bounded admission, quota-limited spool, raw writes, MERGE, compaction, schema epochs, replay fences, and fail-closed mutation handling. Source completion occurs after confirmed application. The local runner provides the requested self-contained TiUP, TiCDC, and Lake E2E path. Tests cover these behaviors, including race, backpressure, schema recovery, response loss, and local lifecycle cases. The design document records settings, limits, outcomes, migration requirements, and acceptance results.

Explanation
The changes remain within [#6704]. Factory, protocol, error, metric, schema-store, and spool updates support the new Lake sink. Unit tests, live fault tests, baseline checks, and the local E2E runner validate the requested behavior. The design documents the explicit single-capture and exclusive-target boundary. The changes do not add automatic HA or fencing, partition dispatching, full snapshot initialization, arbitrary DDL translation, or a redesign of other sinks.
