Bold the object's current layer in the Move to Layer context menus instead of marking it with a checkbox. Add a Rename Layer button to the Layer Manager dialog. Renaming rewrites the per-object fred_layer string on every object assigned to the layer. The Default layer cannot be renamed.
Right-clicking a layer row in the Scene Browser now shows a small context menu with Rename Layer, which opens a rename box and applies the rename through the same viewport path as the Layer Manager dialog. The Default layer cannot be renamed.
