feat(api-keys): add shared v2 key management layer - #2840
shelleyshen-0 wants to merge 4 commits into
Conversation
The v2 actor endpoints need queries the persistence layer does not provide yet: a user's keys across accounts, platform-wide key lists, status filters, and a user's statuses across accounts and services. KeysV2Dao.list takes a KeysByScopeFilterVo and pages the keys that match every non-null field. Queries that do not cover the whole partition key are served by the storage-attached indexes. The owner status repositories gain findByOwnerId, served by the owner_id index, and OwnerStatusByAccountDao lists an owner's statuses across accounts or within one account. Signed-off-by: Shelley Shen <shelleys@nvidia.com>
The key owner, account admin and platform admin endpoints share one implementation. KeyManagementFacade holds the operations and a KeyManagementActor selects the required route dimensions and whether a suspended owner is denied. The NCA, issuer service and user always come from the route. KeysV2Service gains a paged filtered key list, a cross-account owner status list, a public owner-active check and a createKey overload that lets admins create keys for suspended users. Key and owner-status queries src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/main/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/persistance/dao/*, .../persistance/repositories/OwnerStatusByAccount*Repository.java, .../services/KeysV2Service.java, .../services/LegacyAccountTranslator.java, .../vo/OwnerAccountStatusVo.java, src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/test/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/persistance/dao/* |
Adds filtered, paginated key queries and owner-status listings across accounts and services. Account results are ordered by account ID; missing account status defaults to ACTIVE. Adds DAO integration tests for filters and owner-scoped status queries. |
Key and status response mapping src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/main/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/converters/KeyV2ResponseBuilder.java, src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/test/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/converters/KeyV2ResponseBuilderTest.java |
Adds create, detail, list, and owner-status response mappings. Create responses contain the generated key; list items omit authorizations. Expired keys map to EXPIRED unless revoked. |
Actor-aware facade operations src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/main/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/facade/KeyManagementFacade.java, src/control-plane-services/api-keys/AGENTS.md, src/control-plane-services/api-keys/src/test/java/com/nvidia/apikeys/facade/KeyManagementFacadeIntegrationTest.java |
Adds key and owner-status operations with actor-specific route requirements and restrictions. Integration tests cover management, filtering, pagination, suspended owners, and legacy keys. |

- Line 116: Update status-filter validation in the KeyManagementFacade flow to
reject EXPIRED, and document that ACTIVE and SUSPENDED filters match the stored
key status rather than the derived response status. Keep the existing
stored-status filtering in KeysV2Dao.list unchanged.
- Around line 179-182: Update the flow around listOwnerAccountStatuses so
supplied ncaId is validated before any owner-wide lookup, then use
account-scoped account-status and issuer-status queries; ensure the
issuer-status query filters by account at the data source rather than loading
all owner statuses and filtering in memory. Keep listOwnerAccountStatuses for
cross-account requests and preserve single-account ACTIVE defaults and
legacy-account handling.

The single-account statuses request loaded the owner's statuses and keys across every account and filtered one account afterward. It now reads the account status by key and the owner's service-scoped status records, and never scans keys. The facade splits the single-account and cross-account status operations into getAccountOwnerStatuses and listOwnerStatuses. Signed-off-by: Shelley Shen <shelleys@nvidia.com>

The route and parameter name constants had no users yet. The actor controllers will write their paths in their mappings, as the existing controllers do. Signed-off-by: Shelley Shen <shelleys@nvidia.com>
TL;DR
Adds the shared layer behind the v2 Key Owner, Account Admin and Platform Admin key endpoints, plus the two DAO queries it needs. The three actor controllers can then be thin mappings over one facade.
Additional Details (optional for docs, build, test, refactor, ci, chore, style, and revert PRs)
The three actor issues describe nearly identical endpoints under
/v2/api-keys/<actor>. One implementation avoids three copies of the same validation, masking and status logic.KeyManagementFacadeholds create, get, list, update status, update authorizations, delete, owner statuses and account or issuer-service status updates.KeyManagementActor(KEY_OWNER,ACCOUNT_ADMIN,PLATFORM_ADMIN) only selects policy: which route dimensions are required, whether a suspended owner is denied, and which status operations are allowed.KeyManagementRequestValidator,KeyV2ResponseBuilderandKeyManagementRouteshold request validation, response mapping and route constants.KeysV2Servicegains a paged filtered key list, a cross-account owner status list, a public owner-active check, and acreateKeyoverload that lets admins create keys for suspended users.KeysV2Dao.list(filter, limit, cursor)and owner status list methods) that the cross-account lists need.Limitations and choices to review:
nvcfID under the legacy account returns 400. Get, update and delete work through the canonical ID.keys_v2only. The fully scoped list merges legacy keys. For the Reviewer
Start with
