I’m so confused!
can we delete modifications from another node (a read-only node or a node from another study where we only have read-only permission) without checking whether the uuids of the modifications being deleted actually belong to the node in question ?

I think it is better to call verifyModifications before deleteModifications (check they belong to the node before call network modification deleting)

We deciced to remove this method later (verifyModifications).
We don't store applicabilities in study server anymore, so its useless now.

If modificationsUuids == null => NPE (return error 500 I think)
I suggest handling this at the controller level by making the uuids request parameter not optional (@RequestParam(name = "uuids")) (return 400 bad request if it is missing is better than 500)
We already handle this on the network modification side using Objects.requireNonNull(modificationsUuids)

network-modification-server no longer takes the group when deleting modifications by id, and now unlinks the deleted references from directory-server itself: study-server only passes the user.
To deploy with or after gridsuite/network-modification-server#943.
