Fixes #27597

Clause-②: yes (widening)
Metadata-protocol: none
Skills-docs: none — skills/objectstack-data/references/data-hooks.md (Error Handling, Declared refusals) teaches that a throw aborts and that a declared code rides declaredCode; it states no wire code for a free-text throw, so nothing it says turns false. skills/objectstack-api/SKILL.md (Error Envelopes) teaches the ledger generically. The one published sentence this PR makes false, content/docs/protocol/kernel/error-handling.mdx ("a refusal that declared a status but no code arrives with error alone"), is corrected here.

Proposed code: HOOK_ABORTED (the maintainer names it at approval; the name lives in one ledger row, one constant UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE, two test files and one doc line):

  • HOOK_ is the domain prefix the ledger already uses for hook conditions (HOOK_UNSCOPED_DATA_ACCESS, ERR_HOOK_TARGET_REBIND), and ABORTED is the hook contract's own word (onError: 'abort', the default), the shape of BATCH_ABORTED.
  • It names what happened (a hook stopped the operation), not why; the why is the hook's own sentence in error.
  • It is not a standard-catalog synonym: standardSynonymOf('HOOK_ABORTED') is undefined (no member carries HOOK), so it needs no waiver.
  • Alternatives considered: HOOK_REFUSED (reads like a declared refusal, which is the refusals catalogue's job); HOOK_UNDECLARED_REFUSAL (names the author's omission rather than the event the client sees); the standard VALIDATION_ERROR that standardErrorCodeForHttpStatus(400) derives, which rest: a write refused by an unevaluable hook condition answers a generic 500 INTERNAL_ERROR instead of a coded refusal (#24619 row b) #24662 chose for an unevaluable hook condition. Rejected because the card asks for a code a client can tell apart from every other 400, and VALIDATION_ERROR is what any malformed body also answers.

维护者速读

  • 改了什么:沙箱 hook 体用自由文本中止写入(throw new Error('…'),没声明 code、也没有 refusals 目录)时,/data 门现在回 HOOK_ABORTED;以前回的 400 没有 code。新码登记在 ADR-0112 台账 @objectstack/types 名下。
码名请在批准时定(默认 HOOK_ABORTED)。
  • 先看:packages/types/src/data-error-classification.ts(sandboxRefusalCodeFields 与两处调用),packages/rest/src/error-response.ts(声明状态透传分支),packages/spec/src/api/error-code-ledger.zod.ts(台账行)。
  • 两分钟验证:pnpm --filter @objectstack/rest exec vitest run src/rest-undeclared-hook-abort-code.test.ts,应 12/12 全绿。
  • 需要你做的:批准时确认码名 HOOK_ABORTED(或给出别名)。

What changes

Measured first, on origin/main 178b5238

A sandboxed hook refusal with no declared code (the shape quickjs-runner throws: .message the hook 'guard' threw: Error: boom abort wrapper, .innerMessage boom abort, no code) answered every /data exit with no code:

  • mapDataError(err, 'obj') → 400 {"error":"boom abort","object":"obj"}
  • POST /data/:object, PATCH /data/:object/:id, POST /data/:object/batch → the same, no code
  • with status: 422 or statusCode: 422 → 422, no code
  • the wrapper fallback (instance lost, message only) → 400, no code

How the door tells a declared refusal from an undeclared one today: by the error's own code. thrownCodeFields (via resolveThrownHttpError) answers {} when the producer declared no string code, and { code, declaredCode? } otherwise. A hook with a refusals catalogue never reaches the door code-less: resolveHookRefusal turns a declared code into a SandboxError carrying code and status, and turns an undeclared or missing code into the sandbox's own fault (500). So "undeclared" at the door means: a sandboxed body's business refusal (sandboxBusinessMessage answers) whose thrownCodeFields is {}.

The ledger row (spec)

HOOK_ABORTED under @objectstack/types in ERROR_CODE_LEDGER, the package whose constant stamps it (the provenance gate reads a constant at its definition). ErrorCode and the generated reference pages (content/docs/references/api/*.mdx, gen:docs) pick it up. No FieldErrorCode change: this is a top-level code.

The emitter (types, rest)

  • @objectstack/types: UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE = 'HOOK_ABORTED', typed ErrorCode so a ledger without the row stops the package compiling. sandboxRefusalCodeFields(error, status) returns thrownCodeFields' answer when the producer declared a code, else { code: UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE }. classifyDataError's sandbox unwrap door and its wrapper fallback read it.
  • @objectstack/rest: resolveErrorResponse's declared-status 4xx passthrough reads it when the error is a sandbox refusal (businessMessage !== undefined), so the status and statusCode spellings answer one code. Every other producer keeps thrownCodeFields.
  • Not changed: the 5xx arms, the log verdict (logUnexpectedRouteError), the import runner's row codes (it adopts only INVALID_FIELD, UNIQUE_VIOLATION, VALIDATION_FAILED from the door).

The same abort at the doors that re-dress this classification (measured by the existing suites)

The families that re-dress /data's answer (classifiedRefusalAnswer → the nested envelope) already filled the missing code with the catalog floor for 400, VALIDATION_ERROR. They now carry HOOK_ABORTED too, so one abort answers one code on every rest door that reads this classification:

Door Before After
/data flat routes (POST, PATCH, DELETE, batch, createMany, updateMany, deleteMany, clone) no code HOOK_ABORTED
sharing rules (define, delete, evaluate), security suggested-bindings (confirm, dismiss, reopen), approvals (approve, reject, recall, revise, resubmit, reassign, remind, request-info, comment) VALIDATION_ERROR HOOK_ABORTED
/analytics/dataset/query (its ①b arm asks classifiedRefusalAnswer) no code HOOK_ABORTED
/data/:object/import/:jobId/undo failures list VALIDATION_ERROR HOOK_ABORTED

The second and fourth rows move an existing value (VALIDATION_ERROR → HOOK_ABORTED) rather than adding a key, and the seat should weigh that against the claimed (widening) arm. Measured consumers: no ui/** or @objectstack/client code branches on VALIDATION_ERROR for these routes (the console renders error/userMessage; the client passes code through).

Client SDK: @objectstack/client carries no per-code mapping; it lifts the body's code string onto err.code (packages/client/src/index.ts, the fetch failure path), so err.code === 'HOOK_ABORTED' with no SDK change.

Before and after

Before: POST /api/v1/data/OBJ {"name":"throwabort"} → 400 {"error":"boom abort","object":"OBJ"}
After: POST /api/v1/data/OBJ {"name":"throwabort"} → 400 {"error":"boom abort","code":"HOOK_ABORTED","object":"OBJ"}

In-flight intersection with #27508 (log half, domain:server)

#27508's branch claude/issue-27508-hook-abort-not-unhandled @ e9d789c2 (no PR yet) edits packages/rest/src/error-response.ts in the log verdict (isSandboxBodyRefusal, logUnexpectedRouteError), lines this PR does not touch, so there is no textual conflict. There is a semantic one: its isSandboxBodyRefusal exempts the abort only when resolved.body.code === undefined, and after this PR the abort carries HOOK_ABORTED, so the abort would still be logged as [REST] Unhandled error. Whichever lands second makes that condition read the new code (for example code === undefined || code === UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE). Per the order, this PR does not touch the log half.

Tests

  • New packages/rest/src/rest-undeclared-hook-abort-code.test.ts (12 cases): §1 mapDataError answers the code; §2 the POST, PATCH and batch routes; §3 a declared status / statusCode with no code keeps the status and gains the code, alike at both doors; §4 the wrapper fallback is byte-identical to the innerMessage door; §5 CONTROLS: a refusals catalogue answer keeps declaredCode beside VALIDATION_ERROR, a registered RECORD_LOCKED stays its own code, a non-sandbox 400 with no code still gets none, a crash is still 500 INTERNAL_ERROR; §6 the ledger row is live (registered under @objectstack/types, parses as ErrorCode).
  • packages/qa/dogfood/test/hook-error-format.dogfood.test.ts: the end-to-end pin that asserted body.code undefined for a free-text throw new Error(...) now asserts HOOK_ABORTED.
  • Eleven existing rest suites pinned the old answer (29 cases: code absent on the flat door, VALIDATION_ERROR on the nested families and the undo list) and are flipped in the second commit, each with a [#27597] note: rest.test.ts, rest-hook-refusal-code-parity, rest-hook-refusal-message-parity (§8b), rest-hook-script-fault-envelope, rest-sandbox-declared-status, rest-thrown-code-vocabulary (the sandbox arm gains undeclaredCode), rest-share-declared-code, rest-share-user-message, rest-write-route-hook-refusal-sentence.ledger (15 routes move to HOOK_ABORTED_400; package publish keeps REFUSED_400), rest-declared-client-refusal-log (still logs; only the code line moves), import-undo-controls. No declared-code case moved.

Acceptance notes

  • Doors that resolve through resolveThrownHttpError instead of this classification still answer the same abort with the status-derived VALIDATION_ERROR: POST /api/v1/packages/publish (pinned in rest-write-route-hook-refusal-sentence.ledger.test.ts, unchanged) and the runtime dispatcher's exits (for example a hook abort relayed through an action body at /actions). Converging them means teaching resolveThrownHttpError the same rule, which moves the runtime door and its conformance suites; reported to the seat as a follow-up, not done here.
  • An action body's refusal never reaches these doors (actions answer at the runtime /actions door). The wrapper fallback matches action '…' threw: too, and answers the same code, to stay byte-identical with the innerMessage door, which cannot tell the kind.

…BORTED

A sandboxed hook body that aborted a write with free text and no declared
code answered /data with a 400 that carried no `code`. It now answers the
ADR-0112 ledger code HOOK_ABORTED (registered under @objectstack/types),
stamped by mapDataError's sandbox unwrap door and wrapper fallback and by
the route door's declared-status passthrough. Declared codes keep their
own answer; non-hook producers still get nothing invented.

Eleven rest suites pinned the abort with no `code` (the flat /data door)
or with the catalog floor VALIDATION_ERROR (the nested share, security and
approvals envelopes, the import-undo failures list). The same abort now
answers HOOK_ABORTED at each of them; every declared-code control is
unchanged.

`check:dispatcher-error-vocabulary` could not resolve the `as const
satisfies ErrorCode` initializer to a literal and reported it. A plain
`ErrorCode` annotation keeps the compile-time tie to the ledger and is a
spelling both code-vocabulary gates read.

📓 Docs Drift Check

This PR changes 3 package(s): @objectstack/rest, @objectstack/spec, @objectstack/types, touching 6 documentable anchor(s).

5 hand-written doc(s) NAME something this change touched and may need an implementation-accuracy re-verification:

  • content/docs/api/client-sdk.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/api/error-catalog.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/api/error-handling-server.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/kernel/contracts/data-engine.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/protocol/kernel/error-handling.mdx (via resolveErrorResponse (symbol, a top-level function), HOOK_ABORTED (literal, a string literal in ERROR_CODE_LEDGER; a string literal in UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE))

⛔ 3 release-owned page(s) also name something this change touched. These are read-only:

  • content/docs/releases/v17/17-0.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/releases/v17/17-1.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))
  • content/docs/releases/v17/17-4.mdx (via ERROR_CODE_LEDGER (symbol, a top-level const object))

content/docs/releases/ is RELEASE-OWNED (AGENTS.md "Documentation Guardrails"): release
notes are written centrally at release time, and a code PR that edits them is the exact PR
that guardrail exists to stop. They are still audited — read-only. If one of them is actually
wrong, file an issue or open a dedicated docs-only PR; do not edit it here.

What this run could not see
  • the SDK route bridge reached 58 of 210 client-bound route-ledger rows — the other 152 have no registrar path: tail to select them, so pages documenting THEIR client methods cannot appear above, on this or any run. Of those 152: 0 are remediable by widening that discovery convention (an in-repo file declares the path; the convention did not scan it); 55 are structural — on a ledger where NOT ONE row is declared in-repo, so no discovery change reaches them at any price; 97 are undecided (no in-repo declaration, on a ledger that has other in-repo registrars — absence and an unreadable spelling are not distinguishable here). The rows themselves: node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --bridge-coverage
  • a page that states a rule by its inputs shares no identifier with the emitter that implements the rule, so an emitter-only diff cannot list it — not on this run and not on any run. Measured on fix(driver-sql): emit varchar(maxLength) for a text field a declared index keys on #11430: content/docs/protocol/objectql/types.mdx documents the text-family column mapping by the ObjectQL type names it maps FROM (text / textarea / html) while the diff changed createColumn; it went unlisted, and it was the page that diff falsified, in four places. No shared token exists to detect this on, so a rule your change carries has to be re-read by hand in the pages that restate it.
  • a key NAME is not a key, so the hand re-read the line above prescribes can land on the wrong schema. The same spelling is authorable on one governed type and a [REMOVED] tombstone on another for each of active, aria, joins, objects, template, tools and version (censused on [finding] tools is a key on BOTH AgentSchema (tombstoned, dead) and SkillSchema (live, cloud-attested), so a name-based search attributes skill examples to the agent key — it produced a false stop-the-line alarm on PR #19059 #19093 over the liveness ledger's governed types, top-level keys); nothing in a search result distinguishes the two, so a grep hit on a LIVE example reads as evidence about the DEAD key. Measured on fix(spec): the agent.tools liveness row says dead — it claimed live on a key the schema tombstoned #19059: content/docs/ai/agents.mdx was reported as contradicting the agent.tools tombstone over its tools: example at :161, which is inside the defineSkill({ block opened at :155 — the page was already correct. Settle ownership by PARSING the value against both schemas, never by the name: that literal PASSES SkillSchema, and as an AgentSchema it FAILS at tools with the tombstone prescription. ⛔ These names are not the whole class — a key retired through a .strict() guidance map leaves no tombstone in the walked shape and none of them here (tool.category, live as AIToolDefinition.category).

Coarse fallback — 172 page(s) merely mention a changed package (the pre-#9192 predicate, kept for the deliberately-wide backstop): node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe → packageMentionDocs.

Which tree this was computed on

This run read content/docs from e13d1220209d565862f8f00bca857ce04b578ea0 — the merge of head af33de9cabf3473734a4167cacd727c385f4901a into base d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe, which is what actions/checkout gives a pull_request run. Not the PR head.

A worktree cut from an older main holds a different content/docs, so re-deriving there can legitimately return a different list — that is a different tree, not a wrong row. To answer on the same tree:

# while this PR is open — GitHub drops the merge commit once it closes
git fetch origin e13d1220209d565862f8f00bca857ce04b578ea0 && git checkout e13d1220209d565862f8f00bca857ce04b578ea0
# afterwards, rebuild it from the two parents, which stay fetchable
git fetch origin d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe af33de9cabf3473734a4167cacd727c385f4901a && git checkout -B drift-repro d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe && git merge --no-ff af33de9cabf3473734a4167cacd727c385f4901a

node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe

⚠️ That checkout carried uncommitted changes, so the commit above does not fully identify what was read.

Advisory only, and a precision-first one (#9192): a page is listed because it names a
symbol, wire route or SDK method this diff touched — not because it mentions a changed
package. Each row says which anchor put it there, so a wrong row is reportable rather than
merely annoying. To re-verify, run the docs-accuracy-audit workflow scoped to these files:
node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs d7625ea4500aa244c792d55b5d7668c80dbc10fe → pass the list as
args.docs, on the commit named under Which tree this was computed on.

… HOOK_ABORTED

The release text named only the /data door. An undeclared hook abort also
moves from the status-derived VALIDATION_ERROR to HOOK_ABORTED on the
sharing rules, security suggested-bindings and approvals request routes,
and on each row of the import undo failures list. Add a Moved bullet
that lists them.

① Derived judgments

  1. The published code vocabulary widens by one member. ERROR_CODE_LEDGER['@objectstack/types'] gains 'HOOK_ABORTED', so REGISTERED_ERROR_CODES, the ErrorCode enum, ApiErrorSchema.code and the generated FlowInnerRefusal.code / AutomationApiErrorCode enums each accept one more string (the three reference pages move from +351 more to +352 more). Right: an addition to a closed accept set, Clause-②: yes (widening), and the pm-dispatch rule 错误码已发布面 makes any new code yes.
  2. The flat /data doors gain a key. For a sandboxed hook body's business refusal with no string code, mapDataError's innerMessage door and its wrapper fallback, and resolveErrorResponse's declared-4xx passthrough, now spread { code: 'HOOK_ABORTED' } where they spread {}. Status, error text and object are unmoved; verified in the three hunks, which all route through one new function. Right: widening by one optional key on an existing body.
  3. Fifteen nested-envelope routes and the import-undo failures rows move a value, VALIDATION_ERROR to HOOK_ABORTED, because classifiedRefusalAnswer / nestedRefusalEnvelope re-dress mapDataError's body and no longer need the status floor. This is a value move on an existing key, not a key addition; the seat ruled on 2026-10-29T17:00Z that (widening) stands because the only accept set that moves is the code vocabulary and no reader branches on the old value. Checked in the tree: @objectstack/client lifts body.code onto err.code without a per-code table (packages/client/src/index.ts, the fetch failure path; its one VALIDATION_ERROR write is the SDK's own projection refusal), and ui/packages/data-objectstack/src/errors.ts createErrorFromResponse classifies by HTTP status, never by code. Right under the seat's ruling; the changeset's Moved bullet names every route so the release text carries it.
  4. @objectstack/types public surface widens by two exports, UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE (typed ErrorCode) and sandboxRefusalCodeFields, both reachable through export * from './data-error-classification.js'. Right, and the ErrorCode annotation is what makes a ledger without the row a compile failure in types, which is the provenance coupling the ledger header asks for.
  5. Declared refusals are untouched. sandboxRefusalCodeFields returns thrownCodeFields' answer whenever it carries a code, so a registered code stays itself, an unregistered spelling still demotes to the status-derived member plus declaredCode, and a refusals catalogue entry still answers declaredCode beside VALIDATION_ERROR (new test §5, and the rest-hook-refusal-code-parity / rest-share-declared-code pins that did not move). Right: the card's constraint and triage 6500443789's ⛔ hold.
  6. Letter A (ruling 6431311681) is not reopened. resolveHookRefusal (packages/runtime/src/sandbox/hook-refusal-catalogue.ts) still turns a catalogue hook's code-less or undeclared throw into new SandboxError(undeclaredHookRefusalAtRun(...)) with no innerMessage, which classifyDataError answers as the sandbox's own fault before the unwrap door. So HOOK_ABORTED names only what a hook WITHOUT a catalogue answers, exactly as the function's docblock states. Right.
  7. Crashes stay 500. isSandboxCrash is asked at the top of classifyDataError and resolveErrorResponse, and sandboxBusinessMessage declines a script-fault message, so the new code cannot be stamped on a crashed body (new test §5, rest-hook-script-fault-envelope pins). Right.
  8. Import rows do not change. adoptDoorVerdict adopts only INVALID_FIELD, UNIQUE_VIOLATION, VALIDATION_FAILED, and the fallback reads e.code, undefined for a free-text abort, so the row code stays IMPORT_ROW_FAILED. Right; only the rest undo door's failures list (item 3) moves.
  9. Provenance. The row sits under @objectstack/types, the package whose constant definition stamps it; @objectstack/rest stamps through that package's function and carries no literal, which is the METADATA_CONFLICT precedent one row below. check:error-code-provenance and the admission gate are inside the green Lint & Repo Gates run. Right.
  10. Admission rules. SCREAMING_SNAKE, placed alphabetically between ERR_DATASOURCE_UNAVAILABLE and METADATA_CONFLICT, registered once. standardSynonymOf('HOOK_ABORTED') is undefined: HTTP_REASON_PHRASE_STATUS has no HOOK_ABORTED entry and no StandardErrorCode member's tokens cover HOOK, so no waiver is owed. Verified against the function body, not the PR's claim. Right.
  11. Docs. The one published sentence the change falsified (content/docs/protocol/kernel/error-handling.mdx: a refusal that declared a status but no code arrives with error alone) now names the one producer that is the exception; the three content/docs/references/api/*.mdx pages are regenerated output. The hand-written content/docs/api/error-catalog.mdx is not an exhaustive per-code list (it carries no section for CONCURRENT_UPDATE or METADATA_CONFLICT either), so its silence is not a falsified sentence. Release-owned pages are untouched, as the drift check requires. Right.

② Semver level

.changeset/27597-undeclared-hook-abort-code.md: @objectstack/spec patch, @objectstack/types patch, @objectstack/rest patch. @objectstack/dogfood is private: true and content/docs is not a package, so no entry is owed for them. AGENTS.md's rule: the level follows the Metadata-protocol kind alone — none takes patch, and a non-protocol widening ships patch. A wire error code is not something a metadata author writes, so Metadata-protocol: none is right and patch is the correct level on all three. Both declaration lines appear line-initial in the PR body and the changeset body and agree; Check Changeset is green on the head.

Clause-②: yes (widening) — matches what the diff publishes (items 1 to 4 above).

③ Boundary flags

  • Dev open_questions[0] (value move on the nested doors under a (widening) arm): answered by the seat's amendment of 2026-10-29T17:00Z, ruling that (widening) stands; this review concurs on the tree evidence in ① item 3. Closed.
  • Dev out_of_scope_findings[0] (resolveThrownHttpError doors — POST /api/v1/packages/publish, the runtime dispatcher and /actions — still answer the same undeclared abort as VALIDATION_ERROR): confirmed on the head; the sentence ledger pins REFUSED_400 for package publish unchanged. One abort now carries two codes depending on door. Escalated to the seat as a follow-up card; not this card's door. Should-fix, tracked outside this PR.
  • In-flight intersection with rest: a hook onError abort answers the data door with a 400 that carries no error code, and the server logs it as an unhandled SandboxError #27508 (claude/issue-27508-hook-abort-not-unhandled at e9d789c2, no PR yet): no isSandboxBodyRefusal exists at this head, so no textual conflict. Its exemption keys on resolved.body.code === undefined, which this PR makes false for the abort it means to exempt. Escalated to the seat: whichever lands second must read UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE there, or the abort keeps logging as unhandled.
  • Code name: HOOK_ABORTED is the dev's proposal; triage 6500443789 reserves the name to the maintainer at approval. The name lives in one ledger row, one constant, one doc line and two test literals plus the flipped pins, so a rename at approval is mechanical. Flagged for the approver.
  • Skills-docs: none: skills/objectstack-data/references/data-hooks.md Error Handling teaches that a throw aborts, and its Declared refusals section speaks only of catalogue hooks (an undeclared code there is a 500, which is still true); it states no wire code for a catalogue-less free-text throw, so nothing it says turns false. Holds. A teaching line for HOOK_ABORTED would help an agent branching on the code; should-fix for the skills lane, not owed here.
  • Docs drift check (advisory): five hand-written pages name ERROR_CODE_LEDGER; none states a per-code enumeration this row falsifies; the three release pages are read-only and untouched. No action.

④ Design judgment

packages/spec/src/api/error-code-ledger.zod.ts (the hits file), judged against triage 6500443789 (the ruling it implements: one ledgered ADR-0112 code for an undeclared hook abort, declared refusals untouched, letter A not reopened) and its first consumer, UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE in packages/types/src/data-error-classification.ts.

The row holds. Its comment states the condition (a sandboxed hook body aborted with free text and declared no code), the status rule (the declared 4xx, else 400), the sentence rule (the body's own), and both stamping doors by name, which is what the ledger header asks of a row whose name does not carry the meaning alone. Read against the consumer: sandboxRefusalCodeFields is called at exactly the three sites the comment names, and at no other, so the row describes the tree rather than a plan. Read against the scenario it is accepted against (the card's POST /data/OBJ with a free-text throw): the new suite's §1 to §4 cover mapDataError, the POST / PATCH / batch routes, both status spellings at both doors, and the lost-instance fallback, and were measured red on main before the change; §5 holds the four controls the card's constraint requires; §6 pins the row live under its stamping package. The dogfood pin (hook-error-format.dogfood.test.ts, a real QuickJS hook through the stack) flips to the new code.

Attempts to break it, and what the tree answers:

  • Could the row ever be stamped on a declared refusal? No. sandboxRefusalCodeFields defers to thrownCodeFields whenever it answers a code; the only path to the constant is resolveThrownHttpError finding no string code. A refusals catalogue hook cannot reach the door code-less (resolveHookRefusal makes it a fault), so letter A's "an undeclared code is refused loudly" still has exactly one meaning.
  • Could it be stamped on a crash? No; see ① item 7.
  • Could it be stamped on a non-hook producer? On the rest passthrough it is gated on sandboxBusinessMessage(error) !== undefined, which requires the sandbox's innerMessage; on mapDataError the unwrap door requires the same field and the fallback requires the hook|action '...' threw: wrapper. A plain Error with status: 400 and no code still answers no code (§5 control).
  • Door agreement. The status spelling (rest passthrough) and the statusCode spelling (mapDataError) answer byte-identical bodies (§3), and the lost-instance fallback matches the innerMessage door (§4), so the [rest] Hook refusals carrying an explicit statusCode are not mapped by /api/v1/data — they leak as HTTP 500 INTERNAL_ERROR with no located guidance #7525/The direct-mount REST package door answers 500 INTERNAL_ERROR for coded 4xx errors the dispatcher twin maps correctly #8016 door-disagreement shape is not reintroduced inside the classification. It IS left standing across classifications: the resolveThrownHttpError doors (package publish, /actions) answer VALIDATION_ERROR for the same abort. Should-fix as a follow-up card (③); the card's acceptance names the /data door only, and converging the runtime door moves its conformance suites, which is a separate lane's edit.
  • Naming. The wrapper fallback's regex also matches action '...' threw: and now stamps a HOOK-prefixed code on it. Reach in the live tree: custom action bodies answer at the runtime /actions door through resolveThrownHttpError, and packages/rest/src/data-action-routes.ts is clone / field-access / import-undo, not action bodies, so no live route stamps HOOK_ABORTED on an action; only a rethrow that lost the SandboxError instance could. Should-fix: one clause in the row comment or the fallback comment saying so, so the next reader does not take HOOK_ as a guarantee about the producer kind.
  • An inversion to record, not a finding. A catalogue hook's declared-but-unregistered code answers the generic VALIDATION_ERROR plus declaredCode, while a catalogue-less free-text abort now answers the more specific HOOK_ABORTED. A client asking "did a hook refuse this" must still read declaredCode for the first case. This is the [Decision] The dispatcher's error.code has a limb authored by TENANTS at runtime — registration cannot close it, and ADR-0112 does not say what should happen there #9106 demotion rule meeting the card's "declared refusals keep their declared codes" constraint; changing it would reopen letter A, which the card forbids. Noted for the maintainer; no change asked.
  • Type width. UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE: ErrorCode types the constant as the whole union rather than the literal, chosen because as const satisfies ErrorCode was unreadable to check:dispatcher-error-vocabulary. A consumer comparing err.code === UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE loses literal narrowing. Observation only; the gate's constraint is the stronger one.

Must-fix: none. Should-fix: the two named above (door convergence as a follow-up card; one comment clause on the action wrapper reach). Neither blocks landing.

Heads-up from the domain:server lane: PR #27690 (#27508, the log half) is in the merge queue and edits packages/rest/src/rest-declared-client-refusal-log.test.ts; git merge-tree against this PR's head 28b6f710 reports a text conflict in that file. #27690 makes an un-coded sandboxed hook refusal (onError: 'abort') quiet in logUnexpectedRouteError, reading declaredCode off the thrown error, not the answer, so a HOOK_ABORTED code the door adds here does not make it loud again. When this PR rebases onto it, its control "un-coded sandboxed hook refusal logs" should assert quiet, not a logged line. Wire answers are unaffected by #27690.

维护者速读 (席位终稿)

  • 改了什么:沙箱 hook 用自由文本中止写入(throw new Error('…'),没声明 code,也没有 refusals 目录)时,/data 门现在回 HOOK_ABORTED,以前回的 400 不带 code。新码登记在 ADR-0112 台账 @objectstack/types 名下。
上面那几个门的值从 VALIDATION_ERROR 改成 HOOK_ABORTED,changeset 逐条列明了。仓内没有任何 ui 或 client 代码按这个值分支。回滚 = revert 本 PR。
  • 先看:packages/types/src/data-error-classification.ts(sandboxRefusalCodeFields 和两处调用)、packages/rest/src/error-response.ts(声明状态透传分支)、packages/spec/src/api/error-code-ledger.zod.ts(台账行)。

分诊契约复核 PASS(6504284767,就在当前 head 上),没有 must-fix。两条 should-fix:其他门收敛已立后续卡 #27672;action 包装回退的注释少写了一句,不阻塞,记为偏差。

Head: 28b6f7107925f6630f6e75f07c29d6d0e493df54 · card #27597 · claim 6500976762, amended 6503141385 (Metadata-protocol: none, surface, the widening ruling)

  1. 形态: a draft PR to main carrying Fixes #27597: 21 paths (+358 / −56), inside the claim's surface as amended. It adds one ADR-0112 ledger row (HOOK_ABORTED), stamped by mapDataError's sandbox unwrap door and its wrapper fallback (exported as UNDECLARED_HOOK_REFUSAL_CODE) and by the rest route door's declared-status passthrough. Eleven rest suites that pinned the old answer flip on purpose, each with a note. Clause-②: yes (widening) / Metadata-protocol: none, with a patch changeset that has a "Moved" bullet naming every route whose value changes. check-governed-merges reports NOT governed, so the ordinary queue landing applies.
  2. 前提实测: on main a free-text hook abort answers /data with a code-less 400; on the head it answers HOOK_ABORTED, and a declared refusal keeps its own code (control). The contract review (6504284767, PASS, this head) checked the ledger row's liveness, the declared/undeclared split and the nested families' convergence.
  3. 门禁 check-runs (on this head): 58 runs: 43 success, 15 skipped, none red or pending. Dev-side: dispatch-gates --ran 107/107, 0 NOT-MEASURED; check-changeset-no-major and check-empty-changeset exit 0.
  4. 接受的偏差: the review's comment should-fix. The wrapper fallback's regex also matches action '…' threw: and stamps the HOOK-prefixed code there, and no comment says that the code does not guarantee the producer kind. That is documentation only and does not block landing.
  5. 范围外去向: the doors that resolve through resolveThrownHttpError (package publish, /actions) are card rest/runtime: an undeclared hook abort still answers VALIDATION_ERROR on the doors that resolve through resolveThrownHttpError (package publish, /actions) after HOOK_ABORTED lands #27672. The semantic coupling with rest: a hook onError abort answers the data door with a 400 that carries no error code, and the server logs it as an unhandled SandboxError #27508's isSandboxBodyRefusal (code === undefined) is posted on rest: a hook onError abort answers the data door with a 400 that carries no error code, and the server logs it as an unhandled SandboxError #27508 for whichever lands second. Skills-docs: none; the one published sentence made false (error-handling.mdx) is corrected here.
  6. 落地条款: the seat checked the prose faces against the diff on this head: the PR body (r0), the changeset and the ledger row. The seat readies the PR and arms auto-merge in this act, follows it to MERGED, and lands error codes: an undeclared hook onError abort answers the data door with a code-less 400; give it a ledgered ADR-0112 code (#27508 code half) #27597.

Conflict: packages/rest/src/rest-declared-client-refusal-log.test.ts.
Main (#27690) removed the loud "un-coded business-rule 400" case and
added the #27508 quiet block. Took main's side, and flipped that block's
two wire pins to carry the door-added HOOK_ABORTED. The log verdict
reads the thrown error, so it stays quiet.
